Cuantas Vocales son? En español son cinco, en el hebreo son las misma cinco??

En general podes leer bien con los cinco. Los nativos dicen que una vocal esta pronunciada mas larga y otra mas corta. En español esan asi tambien. Pero no se marca la diferencia tanto.

I can actually start to read this now. Thank you so much for taking the time to post this information. Circling the letters like that really makes it clear.

This is my first time getting to your blocks, this is a great work. But I want to know, is there where you have done an introductory to those characters? That way we could check it up to have basic knowledge of them as it seems quite abstract now for me.

My first post was the letter Alef (the first of the alef-beyt (alphabet). I think you can learn them one by one as a free way to learn the language in this one blog.

Alright, I'll see how that goes. I'll need to get a balance and be sure I can take it with my mandarin language as am currently learning to speak and write mandarin Chinese. Thanks for this @hebrew

I just hope one day I would be able to understand hebrew language from this tutorial you put up every week.

Thanks and welcome. You will see at the start, I was teaching what each letter is and what it symbolizes in Hebrew. There are only 22 so it is not so hard to catch up and learn the pronunciation of each.

How did I do?
I like the Hebrew language and would encourage my friends to learn it because I think ;
* When speaking it , you feel a sense of pride and belonging like you are connected to God himself.
* It died and came back to life and now is being spoken widely as though people were just waiting for it. Now how many languages do that?
* Many common and powerful names evolved from the Hebrew language and so to understanding Hebrew will help you know what it means.

• I also think that the Israelites that speak it are confident yet humble.

Its good to read your post again after days of waiting. After taking my time to learn hebrew language through your previous posts, this you posted and the videos has added to my study props and i will study very well to get improved and be a good student of you sir! Though I will like to confess that it always take me extra effort apart from studying from your post to get versed in what you are trying to teach.

I feel blessed to be amongst those that read this. I joined this platform last month and among the educating posts I've been following their series, yours stood out. Teaching is an art possessed by a few. the way you explicitly teaches is noteworthy. I salute your knowledge sir.
Apart from the language learning process which I applaud you for sir, the story of creation that comes with it is also what I found to be interesting. As a Christian, we were told similar story too but learning it in a different language apart from my local dialect makes it more educating.

One of the most cultural treat is to learn other languages than your own. Hebrew is always remained my dream to learn and i am fully convinced that your kind efforts enable me to learn basics of this language @hebrew for which i am REALLY thankful to you <3

It has to be basic in the beginning - we need the foundation to build on in order to get a complete understanding

This is actually a fact based thing; to learn any language properly one must aware of it's grammatical rules and regulation. This thing strengthens the basics of that language. So, i am fully agreed what did you say @hebrew :)

Many Arabic words are derived from Hebrew, which proves that the Jews lived long with the Arabs, and that our two languages are very close.
In fact we lived side by side without serious problems, unfortunately this is not the case today and it is a pity.
I hope that in the future all this animosity will be reabsorbed and we will be able to live in peace with our very close cousins
