Honestly I didn't get your question.

Is keeping the tokens necessary?
No you won't keep VAULT token. You can either sell it at Hive-Engine or swap it to HIVE via https://swaphive.github.io/swap/

Do you vote on publications?
Yes, the bot is following manual votes. If you delegated more than 500 HP, mentors will follow your posts & start upvoting if content is worthy to have a vote. Then the bot will follow those mentor votes.
