Whev can't believe it's been 80 montly meetings already, feels like yesterday when we started those.

AI generated Summary:

Personal update (howo)

Hive core / release (blocktrades)

Haf apps / Block Explorer (mcfarhat)
- New endpoints on haf block explorer: historical proposal votes per proposal, total wallet addresses (daily granularity), proxy-account sorting, proxy-power API fixes, balance tracker fix for negative savings withdrawals.
- Two new projects spun up: haf-stats and haf-fyp.
- FYP: TikTok-style personalized ranking using Hivesense, votes/comments/community subs as weighted signals; open source, hosted on haf API nodes.
- haf-stats: financial summaries, RC footprint per account, network-wide RC utilization, HP distribution buckets, and many more endpoints.
- Repos created on GitLab but he can't push — needs maintainer permission from blocktrades/Gandalf. Action: blocktrades/Gandalf to grant.
- Block-explorer frontend: TVL card, incoming/outgoing RC delegations with timestamps, new per-account balance breakdown (open orders, pending conversions, savings under withdrawal, escrow), Keychain + Hive Signer login, customizable dashboard, tooltip/crash fixes.
- Pending MRs (4): historical proposal votes, total wallet addresses, proxy-account sorting, proxy-API fixes — Michael to review this week.
- howo to share his Hivemind ranking-algorithm MR with mcfarhat for cross-pollination on the FYP algorithm.

> Side project: a second HiveD implementation in go — replays up to 30M blocks before failing. Curious whether a fresh AI pass with full repo context could outperform the original. Plans to maybe run a top-100 witness on it for the experiment.

This sounds very interesting! Code public by chance?

Code not public yet as it's still missing a lot of critical features (right now it's only replaying, can't do P2P) :)

Can we get these uploaded to 3spk or bitchute, or anything but utub?

@rishi556 | May 7, 2026, 10:35 p.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

It's really hard to beat the simplicity and usability that youtube has. I've tried 3speak but it's still missing so much compared to youtube and most importantly stability(I won't know if a video I shared will be there and loading very quickly in 3 months vs with youtube I'm guaranteed to have it there).

So, put it on utub, and somewhere else for us utub refusers?
Bitchute is very stable.

> Bitchute

Didn't know about this one.

@antisocialist | May 7, 2026, 11:41 p.m. | Votes: 0 | [ VOTE ]

It was banned in england for not censoring things.

In some countries both are blocked. Even 3speak in some... the only option is to bring the front ends back into the user side. So the only thing they need is to P2P download to watch.

What do you miss on 3Speak compared to YouTube? We would be very happy to get some feedback and improve things.

3speak is very stable, reliable and easy to use after @mantequilla-soft took it over and basically reworked everything from the ground up. I don't find any video from you ever in the database but guess you used a different acc there and that you tried it months or even years ago. Times and products change - please give a try and let us know your findings :)

The biggest thing is picking any random video and getting it to open. If I pick a video that's a few days old, the chance of it loading has been near 0. I've talked with @meno about this and he said it's related to the IPFS backend but I'm hoping they move away from it. (Though I did just try and load an older video now https://3speak.tv/watch?v=rishi556.lambo%2Fgmbftybb and it worked, maybe this issue has been fixed in the last week?)

I've posted from @rishi556.lambo so that's why you don't see anything from me. A lot of it has been initial testing to see "hey can I move here instead of youtube". 4K support would be great, but not a big priority. I also had issues with upload speeds before, but maybe this has been improved too. I'll give it another try later this week as a creator and share feedback.

Thanks for the quick feedback and for giving it another try :) Yes, we had issues with ipfs and node architecture in general, but that got fixed by adding fast "hot nodes" and general bug fixings by @meno. If you now pick any video (even the 2 year old ones) they will play. With video age the playback will take a few more seconds but that's an issue with ipfs in general. Excited for your feedback for sure :) (4k support will probably never come tbh)

Two functionalities would be tremendously useful to expand Hive usage and demand:
1. Hive Backed Euro (HBE)
2. Amount * time-dependent multisig: the ability to enforce a threshold of, say, 4 / 10 for moving < 1000 HBD/24h, require 6/10 for < 5000 HBD / 24h and 8/10 for anything >5000 HBD / 24h
