Tuna is delicious and has an intense flavour that I love. Today I made a special tuna sauce for pasta; it’s quite easy to make. You start by making a homemade tomato sauce and then add the tuna at the end. It turns out delicious and has a lovely aroma.

INGREDIENTS

• Onion, 200g
• Ripe tomatoes, 400g
• Oregano, bay leaves, dried basil
• Tinned tuna, 400g
• Five cloves of garlic, chopped
• Salt and pepper
• Oil
• Water
• Cooked pasta.

PROCEDURE

• Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. When hot, add the onion and stir for two minutes, then add the bay leaves, dried oregano and dried basil. Continue stirring the onion until it becomes translucent.

• Add the chopped garlic cloves and cook for just a short while, as we don’t want the garlic to burn.

• Add the tomato, stir and cook, season with salt and pepper, and cook until the tomato has almost broken down.

• Add enough water to cook this sauce for forty-five minutes.

• Add the tuna, mix well, cook for three minutes and turn off the heat.

• Serve with finely chopped coriander leaves.

Salsa de Atún

El atún es delicioso tiene un sabor intenso que me encanta, hoy hice una salsa de Atún especial para pasta, es bastante fácil hacerla, se comienza elaborando una salsa de tomate casera y por último se le agrega el atún, queda deliciosa y con agradable aroma.

INGREDIENTES

• Cebolla, 200 gramos
• Tomate maduro, 400 gramos
• Orégano, laurel, albahaca seca
• Atún en lata, 400 gramos
• Cinco dientes de ajo picados
• Sal y pimienta
• Aceite
• Agua
• Pasta cocida.

PROCEDIMIENTO

• Colocar aceite en una sartén a fuego medio, y cuando esté caliente le añadimos la cebolla, movemos por dos minutos, luego colocamos hojas de laurel, orégano seco y albahaca seca, seguimos moviendo la cebolla hasta que cristalice.

• Añadimos los dientes de ajo picados, cocinar por muy poco tiempo porque no queremos que el ajo se queme.

• Agregar el tomate, mezclar y cocinar, se le coloca sal y pimienta, se cocina hasta que el tomate esté casi deshecho.

• Colocamos agua, lo suficiente porque cocinaremos ésta salsa por cuarenta y cinco minutos.

• Agregar el atún, mezclar bien, cocinar por tres minutos y apagar la estufa.

• Se sirve con hojas de cilantro finamente picado.
