I am writing on the adaptation part.. For all anime lovers

Tsubaki had lived her life desperately in search for a child of her own until she met a woman, Mrs. Hinata who was at the point of delivery. Mrs. Hinata was a Cibi also for the sake of child bearing. She delivered promptly and upon delivery, an Esurientes came upon Mrs. Hinata and it dealt a major blow on her. Although, she defeated the Esurientes, she could not survive escaping death due to the fact that the Esurientes landed a major blow on her mixed with the fact that she just delivered of twins. Tsubaki felt really bad for Mrs. Hinata, considering the fact that she understood what it meant to be in search of a child talk more of getting a twin and giving up the ghost. Tsubaki took up the responsibility of taking care of the twin and named them Kagari (older) and Matsuri (Younger). Tsubaki swore to revenge for the death of the mother of these children one way or the other. After years of being a good mother, it was time for her to go fulfill her promise to the dead Mrs. Hinata. She became a cibi too based on the wish of having the power to defeat every Esuriente with the help of Kyubey, a messenger of magic who grants the wishes of ladies but in exchange of them becoming Cibus. Kagari and Matsuri felt bad that Tsubaki left them and felt even worse when they heard that she died in the wilderness fighting years later. They were enrolled into high school by their father. Matsuri was blind from birth and it was Kagari’s job to take care of her. Kagari wished she had the power to revenge the death of Tsubaki as she was so obsessed about her. She was granted her wish. In Matsuri class she made friends with Arise, Chisato and Haruka. They became friends based on the fact that no one paid attention to them or rather because they were not socially inclined with their classmates. Arise wished to become very strong because she was a weakling, Chisato wished that her father becomes the kind man he used to be before things turned out sour for him, Haruka wanted her elder sister Kanade dead because she was seen to be the ideal child to her parent while all that Matsuri wished for was sight recovery. All of their wishes were granted without the consequences made known to them.
Suzunne was raised up by Tsubaki too, however, this was during her mission to avenge Mrs. Hinata’s death. Suzunne witnessed the death of Tsubaki and wished to be just like her to defeat witches and to train other Cibus to know how to harness their strength and power so as to defeat the Esurientes totally. They (Suzunne, Matsuri and Chisato) began to find out how best to deal with them totally. Kagari was furious at such awkward plan and how much they wasted so much time on plans that seem fruitless. Haruka and Arise were on her side. Kagari’s strength was as a result of her bitterness and as such, she was able to endure till she lost Haruka and Arise during their fights with Esurientes. She was badly wounded and was saved by the trio led by Suzunne.
During their findings, Kyubey tells them the truth about why they are made Cibus. They realized there is really no way out of the whole deal. They swore an oath to stick together. Matsuri forgave Kagari for deserting and condemning her for sticking to Suzunne. Kagari stated expressly that she wished she did not recover her sight. Kagari became a team player with Suzunne being the leader. They fought and conquered Esurientes together. One different occasions, Chisato saved Suzunne with her life while Kagari saved Matsuri with her life. Before then, the truth about Tsubaki although he twisted it a bit to implicate Suzunne had been revealed to them by Kyubey who had it in mind to distort their plan of sticking together. After quarrels, they realized the truth. Suzunne was able to find a way but it involved laying down her life. It would eradicate the presence every Esurients, it would render Kyubey powerless and restore Matsuri to her former self except that she’d be able to see.
