Governance of Hive is identical to governance of Steem. The players are different, because Hive is run by the folks that used to run Steem while @ned held his stake and abstained from governance, and on Steem Sun Yuchen has deployed @ned's stake and rules solitarily. On both platforms whoever has enough money, whether alone, as Sun, or as an oligarchy, as on Hive, determines what happens.

@markymark has a lot of Hive, and generally participates in governing Hive. There's nothing except acquiring more stake than he and his ilk possess that can compel him to change his ways.

However, he is a human person, and can be persuaded to change what he does if the arguments he's presented convince him.

He is also fallible. He may be flagging all your posts and comments now, but sooner or later he'll quit. Even if he automates it, sooner or later the bot will break, and the flags will stop. This probably is not the solution you seek, however, because bots don't break much.

I reckon your best option is to let this account rest until he becomes fully engaged elsewhere, and to use a new account.

I get that he is pissed off about that but its time he got over it.
I was just poking around in his account and he has just started flagging random posts because someone he does not like voted for them!

Something more substantial than whether he likes or dislikes someone is at work when he flags them. I dunno what it is, but whatever it is, I don't seem to have it, because he doesn't like me, and he doesn't flag me.

Might be that when I find out I am wrong about something, I change my mind and take back everything I said when I was wrong =p

I used to follow @skeptic, who was rude, raw, insulting and a bad artist. He was extraordinarily offensive to berniesanders, who treated him much as marky is you. Flagged the hapless @skeptic to negative double digits.

However, secret admirers of @skeptic voted him right back into the positives, and this happened more than once IIRC. Sadly, @skeptic vanished after moving to a different state.

What I learned from that is that you can bring an account back from deep negative territory. I've been flagged a few times too, but never that hard. I guess they give up when it becomes clear I don't care about rewards, because I provably don't spend them as money and never have.

However, there's a difference between coming to a conclusion and jumping to one. I'm glad I'm able to read your posts and comments again, but you'll do well to be sure of facts and less short of tact going forward.

I do not believe that. But I have noticed that he hates it when people do not show him the respect he thinks he deserves. I do not happen to see him as a person that is deserving of any respect whatsoever. He is dishonest and petty, not much to respect there.

As soon as I started school I always targeted the bullies without any conversation or warning, just straight in lol
I changed over time to be a little more reasonable,I guess I am still evolving.

My thinking is that that most of the abusers have now been given and received the msg that their abusive behavior was literally the cause of the decline of Steemit, and have adjusted their behavior accordingly. If that continued, Hive would have a chance of some serious growth. I do not see that happening, I see Steem as having a better chance of long term success.
People like to see drama but they do not invest in it. There is no drama on Steemit

Almost none. My powerdown isn't over yet, so I hope it doesn't topple into the sea yet.

I use firefox. The good news is that i only needed to enter the 5 digit password on Peakd just now, but still locked out of the Hive front end.

I actually did not intend to start posting. I would prefer reading and listening to what others are contributing and engage in the comment section. But I will do some more posts as required. I was poking around in @themarkymark's account last night and it looks like he may be going through some kind of crisis. He has started to flag people because an account he does not like as voted on their content!

It looks like a great way to drive people off the platform to me

I'm sure he thinks he is on firm ground.
