Greetings, friends of this community of observers of natural life. Today I am sharing with you some photographs that I took on New Year's Eve. It was early in the morning and while I was cleaning the garden, I came across this beautiful butterfly that kindly allowed me to get closer and take some photos in macro mode.

It measures a little more than a centimeter in diameter, and its shape is round and flattened. Google Lens did not help much to find its name, because of the similarity it is possible that it belongs to the Paratropes genus.

They have a light brown tone with white edges around their perimeter, their legs, underside and antennae contrast with the intense black color, colors that help them camouflage themselves in their environment.

It came to the house from the backyard, seeing its colors I decided to take a photo shoot. It has a flattened body with well-defined segments that make it look like a suit of armor or a small war tank. It is very mobile and loves to hide in places away from light.
