This animal, belonging to the order Thelyponida, is a type of scorpion with a needle-like tail used for self-defense. In addition to its needle-like tail, this animal also has two pincers similar to shrimp claws.

The difference between a ketonggeng and a scorpion is the venom found in its tail. Scorpion venom, or venom, is more dangerous than that of a ketonggeng. The ketonggeng can also emit a sour odor as a form of self-defense.
