To be honest, i have never really thought about the possibility of being involved in a war. It is just one of those things that feels very far from me, not something i imagine ever happening around me at all , not even once. But then, from time to time, i get to see videos and different clips online of the wars happening, and it actually makes everything feel more real. I have had the chance to see how damaging wars can be, not just to properties but also to families and people’s lives in general.

Each time i come across videos of children in places like Palestine that have lost all they had because of war, i normally feel very bad for them, especially the little kids that are involved. These are children who are supposed to be enjoying life, going to school, playing around, and just being happy, but instead, they are facing something completely different. Most of them have lost their parents, their homes, and everything they had to the wars happening. Sometimes, i just sit and think about it, and it honestly feels very unfair. So, just from what i have seen about war, i don’t think i would want any member of my family to go through that.

Furthermore, i had to really think about what i would do if i ever find myself in that kind of situation. Would i join the army and go fight in the war, or would i just stay back and look for a way to keep my family safe? At first, i arrived at the thought that in war, even if there is victory, there is still a high tendency for people to lose their lives. So, my joining the army might not really add anything and could even put my own life at risk.

But then, on the other side, i also thought about something else. If everyone had the same mindset as me, then no one would be willing to fight during the war. And if that happens, then who will be there to defend the country? That made me realize that the situation is not really as simple as it looks because sometimes people fight not because they want to, but because they feel like they have no other choice.

So i think what i would do first is to find a way to make sure my family is safe and not really affected by the war. That would be my main priority because i don’t think i can be at peace knowing that they are in danger. Then, after that, i could now decide if i wanted to join the army and fight in the war.

In general, from everything i have seen about war, it is not something i would ever wish for. It brings a lot of pain, loss, and destruction. But if i ever find myself in that situation, i believe my first focus will always be to protect my family, and then after that, i can decide on what next to do.
