Esta manualidad la hice pensando en una persona muy especial que tiene un gusto particular por el color verde, así que decidí trabajar principalmente con ese tono en toda la decoración.

I’m so happy to be sharing another craft project with you. Lately, I’ve been trying to gradually get back into my creative projects, because I really enjoy everything related to drawing, painting, and making things with my hands. I made this craft with a very special person in mind who has a particular fondness for the color green, so I decided to use that shade as the main focus throughout the decoration.

La ilustración que agregue en la cajita es de una ilustradora llamada CandyWitch. Tenia impreso este dibujo desde hace tiempo y este me pareció el momento perfecto para usarlo.

✅ Paso 1:
Para comenzar, reuní los materiales que iba a utilizar. En este caso trabajé principalmente con cartón reciclado, porque me gusta aprovechar lo que ya tengo en casa. Luego dibujé sobre el cartón la forma de un corazón grande, que sería la pieza principal de la decoración. Después de marcarlo, lo recorté con cuidado.

To start, I gathered the materials I was going to use. In this case, I worked mainly with recycled cardboard, because I like to make use of what I already have at home. Then I drew a large heart shape on the cardboard, which would be the centerpiece of the decoration. After marking it out, I carefully cut it out.

A continuación, apliqué una capa de pintura blanca sobre el cartón y una vez seco, comencé a trabajar los tonos verdes, mi idea principal, era aplicar un degradado, pero a la final solo improvise, utilice distintos tonos y me encanto el efecto.

Next, I applied a coat of white paint to the cardboard, and once it was dry, I started working on the green tones. My original plan was to create a gradient, but in the end I just improvised—I used different shades and loved the effect.

✅ Paso 3:

Mientras la pintura se secaba, preparé la ilustración. Recorté el pequeño gatito, la impresión quedo un poco opaca por lo tanto, delinee todos los bordes del dibujo con marcador negro y luego ajuste otros detalles para dejarlo listo antes de integrarlo en la composición.

While the paint was drying, I prepared the illustration. I cut out the little kitten; the print was a bit faint, so I traced all the edges of the drawing with a black marker and then tweaked some other details to get it ready before incorporating it into the composition.

✅ Paso 4:
Luego pegué el gatito sobre el corazón verde. En este punto ya se empezaba a ver mucho mejor cómo iba tomando forma todo el diseño.

Then I glued the kitten onto the green heart. At this point, it was already starting to look much clearer how the whole design was taking shape.

✅ Paso 5:
Por otro lado, preparé la base de la caja. Esta parte fue un reto, ya que las pinturas que utilice no pigmentaban lo suficiente, pero agregue varias capas, mezcle con otros tipos de pintura y resulto bien. Aquí perdí algunas fotos del proceso 😅 pero básicamente lo que hice fue recortar una de las caras de la caja, pintarla en tonos similares y luego añadir algunos detalles decorativos como corazones y puntitos blancos.

Meanwhile, I prepared the base of the box. This part was a challenge, since the paints I used weren’t pigmented enough, but I added several layers, mixed them with other types of paint, and it turned out well. I lost a few photos of the process here 😅, but basically what I did was cut out one of the sides of the box, paint it in similar shades, and then add some decorative details like hearts and little white dots.

Por último, pegué el corazón en la parte de atrás de la caja y así quedó terminada esta cajita decorativa 📦💟

Es una manualidad bastante sencilla, pero me gusta mucho porque combina varias cosas que disfruto hacer: dibujar, pintar y armar algo desde cero. Además, está pensada para colocar dentro algún detallito especial, como dulces, una nota o cualquier regalito sencillo para alguien querido.
