FIAT CURRENCY MEETS CRYPTO
It was a thrilling experience going through the Cryptassist whitepaper in a bid to discover what they’re out to achieve.

Prominent amongst my discovery were 4 basic applications represented with the names; “where to spend crypto”, “Chatpay”, “Webshop”, and “Debit card”. A closer look at these applications entails machineries being put in place to ensure;

• Increased awareness,
• Acceptability
• Easy access
• Daily usage
• Flexible global transactions, etc. of cryptocurrencies

Now in case I started very much in haste or excitedly, let’s go back a bit for swift understanding of Fiat currencies and cryptocurrency.

Fiat is a Latin word that implies a decree or an order; explaining why a piece of paper, coin or something that have no intrinsic value, became used as a means of exchange for goods and services at the decree of a government. With currency being referred to as the usage or circulation of money; it makes sense defining Fiat currency as “a legal tender in circulation”.

Cryptocurrency

Cryptocurrency is a digital or virtual currency that is blockchain based and uses cryptography to mint, secure and verifies transactions made within the blockchain community. As a blockchain based technology; it implies a decentralized platform that doesn’t have a central control or regulation as seen in the case of Fiats, been regulated by the government through the Central Banks.
This cryptocurrency innovation was pointed to have resulted from incidences surrounding money laundering and frauds been perpetuated on Fiats without trace; leaving various governments to encourage a cashless and virtually based transactions. Today, the world can look back and be grateful for the many innovations that did evolve as a result.

THE CRYPTASSIST EFFECT
Cryptassist may have knowingly or unknowingly brought into mainstream the applications listed above; but the expected impacts are already obvious by ensuring its usage and making fiat and cryptocurrencies easily exchangeable. While the first three applications mentioned will aid the flexible spending and usage of cryptocurrencies, the Debit Card application will ensure that cryptocurrencies and Fiats are easily and readily exchangeable in seconds hence; the said “meeting point”.

Below is a brief expo of the applications and the values they’re set to offer.

  This app involves a simulated database communicating to intending spenders of the proximity or availability of places where he/she can pay for goods and services in cryptocurrencies. With this service, the awareness and usage of cryptocurrencies will be accessed and propagated, adding more value to the global crypto community at large

• CHATPAY:
  This feature integrates social messaging application with online payment. Merchants and consumers can meet, discuss and effect payments without intermediaries. The platform also enables the location and purchase of cryptocurrencies from other Chatpay users nearby. At its full bloom, this will help create the needed awareness, accessibility and usage needed to enhance crypto related valuations.

• WEBSHOP:
  More like Cryptassist online store and a platform for intending merchants to display their commodities and accept payments in Fiat and crypto currencies from interested buyers, at a reduced cost. This will encourage cryptocurrency acceptability, usage; and interchange with Fiat.

• DEBIT CARD ISSUANCE:
  The introduction of Cryptassist debit cards enables you to do everything possible with Fiats and the normal debit cards. Normally denominated with the top 50 cryptocurrencies; this works on the mechanism of conversion at the prevalent rate to CTA and making it readily available in Fiat.

And I ask; how will you define the feeling associated with having a store of cryptocoin in your wallet and having urgent need for fund; walk into the next available ATM machine and get paid in USD or your local currency?.

All I’ll do is just beam a smile and be happy; a feeling Cryptassist is bringing us in creating a meeting point between Fiat and Crypto based currencies.
