Swollen moon

Outburst of sheer joy
Extension of the ripples
Panting of the cold breeze
Ah! the folly of a happy man.

The epistle in bold,
Scribbled in proud ink.
Look! the smiles on the fulfilled orb,
the mailman comes bearing goodnews.

I think Mrs Egu is naked
'Cos of the eclipse on her roof
I can't help her on this matter
Disney is out of town.

Though I sleep on this solitary barn,
I wish you see this burning ball
And though you might question my sanity,
Selfishness is my only crime.

Why do I pride myself on the absent
and mock the poor, widowed day.
I think I'm touring the city of friction
'Cos I'm wearing Mrs Egu's clothes.

Now I'm committing a fundamental crime
I can't help but lie to myself
this I do on a friendly advice
Hoping the moon would swell in smiles.
