Early morning stirs
shifting sides trying to decode the mystery of these uncomfortable sheets
stillness blankets itself around me
insisting that I join in on its silent parade
how kind of it to offer such a lending
hand over the pillow so that I may sink back into the realm of dreams
or not...as I continue to lay here with one hand hanging off
sure enough, it will happen
until then the shift continues
