Thank you :D Yeah me too really, but I don't mind using reference. From what I've read from other artists is that with extra studies it should get easier to draw even from memory. But understanding how certain things work is crucial :)

The nerd in me loves to study things an figure out the trix. I was studying the human body and autonomy last year and it really payed well. Jup, think the studies are crucial but taking a course from someone that has already done it is maybe the fastest. :)

Yeah definitely, for those looking for budget options there are some cheap patreon lessons and black friday on cubebrush/gumroad :D
Also anatomy books are a bit expensive but on yearly book fares they can be insanely cheap :D

It does make sense tho that they fly backwards when I remembered how they move, zig zag :D

I remember doing a lot of wing/feather studies recently. Still an ongoing process but not nearly as hardcore as it was now that I know roughly what wing shape I should probably stick to when tacking wings onto a human ;D

Only one bat? :) I suppose they don't have quite as much variation in wing shape as birds XD

Yeah in the previous post I compared the wings to hands in a less accurate but easier to understand way. The wing bones actually work like: the palm is longest part, then wrist to elbow and lastly, elbow to shoulder is actually very small for birds and it never has wings connected to that bone! But sometimes chest feathers cover the bone making it hard to notice :D
I'm just practicing explaining xD It will be tricky making a post haha

For me the hollow bones was biggest shock when I discovered it just a couple of years ago, idk how I didn't hear or read before :D
