The eroding of of our laws, the outright white-washing of our Constitution, the special interests throwing sand in our eyes and deliberately feeding the fires of fear and suspicion, normalizing attacks on democracy, pointing at Unicorns all while cozying up to trolls and soulless people.

This group of lawmakers actually has the audacity to say the 'people' have not spoken, because only 17% of the people showed up to vote. This is a very dangerous thought to put out there. One could argue these council members like Trayton White who was uncontested, therefore there was no opposition, this does not mean that the entire district wanted him, all it means is that no one was available to go against him. This applies to Evans, Todd and White (Ward8).

So do we take the next step, and say only 51% of the vote allows for a legitimate member of any elected office? This would mean that Trump who received 46.1 percent allows us all to say this is not the will of the people. Therefore, nothing he does should stand? Is this really what these people are after?
