Hello Everyone!

Welcome to my post. Thank you for stopping by. On this occasion, I would like to share one of my favorite battles using GARGOYA DEVIL. He is a Monster of Neutral splinter from Reward edition.

Let's go through the detail first of this Monster.

  Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat.

• Reverse Speed
  Monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks.

• Mana Capacity
  60

MY LINEUP

Card Image Buff Element Strategy https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/General%20Sloan_lv5.png +1 Ranged attack Life Based on the enemy previous battles, he used Earth splinter and Llama as the Summoner. Taking into account the Reverse Speed and Armored Up rulesets then ideally I should use Magic attack Monsters but I notice that enemy used Mushroom Seer in his previous battle so I don't think that I could win if used Magic attack Monsters. Among the other splinter options, Life splinter has the most low-speed Monsters in my card collection. Half of my Monsters are Ranged attack Monsters to take advantage of General Sloan's buff. The other Monsters are tanks and damage dealer. Position Name Card Image Ability Strategy 1st Uriel the Purifier https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Uriel%20the%20Purifier_lv1.png Flying, Recharge A great tank with a massive attack, a lot of Armor, and Health. He has a Flying ability which can evade attacks from enemy Monsters who do not have the Flying ability. Due to his Recharge ability, he will have 9 Melee attacks in one hit. The disadvantage of the Recharge ability is only can attack every 2 rounds. Hopefully, he could smash some enemy Monsters before getting killed. 2nd Shieldbearer https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/untamed/Shieldbearer_lv1.png Taunt The 2nd tank with a lot of Armor and Health. Due to his Taunt ability, his role is to receive and withstand all kinds of attacks from almost all enemy Monsters. He will try to give more time to his allies especially back-line Monsters to attack the enemy Monsters without being attacked. Hopefully, he could survive until 2nd round to make my strategy work. 3rd Sand Worm https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/reward/Sand%20Worm_lv4.png Sneak A specialized Sneak attack with massive damage. I guess the enemy will use Kron and put him in the last position to make him the last stand Monster. Hopefully, Sand Worm managed to knock out Kron before he become the last stand Monster. He has low speed and is suitable with the Reverse Speed ruleset. 4th Gargoya Devil https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/reward/Gargoya%20Devil_lv3_gold.png Flying, Close Range One of my favorite Ranged attack Monsters. He has Flying and Close Range abilities which make him could evade attacks from non-flying Monsters and attack from the first position. He has massive damage with 3 Ranged attacks which will be boosted to 4 Ranged attacks by General Sloan's buff. 5th Pelacor Arbalest https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Pelacor%20Arbalest_lv3.png Double Strike A new meta of Ranged attack Monster from Chaos Legion edtion. He has a Double Strike ability which makes him could do twice an attack per round. So if successfully hit the enemy Monsters then he will deal 6 damage. He has low speed and could attack early among other Monsters in every round. 5th Prismologist https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/chaos/Prismologist_lv2.png Blast She is a Beast with massive damage with a total of 5 ranged attacks (+1 from General Sloan's buff). She has the Blast ability which does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster. Same as Pelacor Arbalest, Prismologist also has low speed and is suitable with the Reverse Speed ruleset.

ROUND 1

• The enemy used the Earth splinter with lineups as follows:

• Round 1 started with buff and debuff process by both team as follows :

Summoner / Monster Buff Debuff/Nerf Target Scarred Llama Mage(S) +2 Health, Cleanse, Last Stand - Opposing Monsters General Sloan(S) +1 Ranged attack - My Monsters Mushroom Seer(M) - -1 Magic attack My Monsters

Summary of round 1 :

• Both teams exchanged attacks in the first round.
• Almost all enemy Monsters focus on attacking Shieldbearer but couldn't be managed to knock out him yet.
• Sand Worm managed to destroy Kron's Armor while my trio of Ranged attack Monsters focus on attacking Flesh Golem but didn't able to knock out him yet.
• Shieldbearer managed to evade from Mitica Headhunter's attack at the end of 1st round. Thanks to Reverse Speed ruleset.

ROUND 2

Summary of round 2 :

• Finally the attacks from my Ranged attack monsters managed to knock out the Flesh Golem.
• Shieldbearer was also knocked out by Wood Nymph.
• Mitica Headhunter managed to remove Uriel's Flying ability with her Snare ability.
• The battle is still running in a draw for 2nd round.

ROUND 3

Summary of round 3 :

• Pelacor Arbalest managed to knock out Cornealus and Prismologist managed to destroy Wood Nymph's Armor and Mushroom Seer's Armor in one attack due to her Blast ability.
• Sand Worm managed to deal 6 damage to Kron but didn't enough to knock out him yet.

ROUND 4

Summary of round 4 :

• Mushroom managed to knock out Uriel at the beginning of 3rd round.
• Sand Worm and Pelacor Arbalest managed to knock down Wood Nymph and Mushroom Seer.
• At the end of 4th round, the Enemy only left 2 Monsters and one of them can't attack anymore. Mitica Headhunter doesn't have Close Range ability which makes her can't attack in the first position.

ROUND 5

Summary of round 5 :

• Sand Worm managed to knock out Mitica Headhunter at the beginning of 5th round.
• Kron the Undying gets the Last Stand ability from Llama which increases his health, attack, speed, and restores his armor.
• Kron managed to knock out Sand Worm at the end of 5th round.

ROUND 6

Summary of round 6 :

• Luckily, the Reverse Speed ruleset was applied in this battle. The Ranged attack monsters attack first than the Magic attack monsters even though they have the same speed level.
• My Ranged attack Monsters took turns attacking Kron and managed to knock out him without giving a chance for him to attack back.

DID MY STRATEGY WORK?

• Yes, my strategy works effectively. Everything works as it should.
• Gargoya Devil played a big role in the battle, especially in the 6th round. I can't imagine if he doesn't have Close Range ability and can't attack from the first position then I will definitely lose.

AFTERTHOUGHTS

• Gargoya Devil is an awesome card and worth to be invested. I have as much as 391 BCX on my collection card. Now his price is getting higher as many players are aware of his value.
• He is suitable for the earthquake ruleset and can be used for every battle since he is a Neutral Monster except for the Taking Sides ruleset.
• He is weak to Magic attack and is not suitable for the Noxious Fumes ruleset.
