Peakd does this thing sometimes where you place it to a 10% vote and as you're about to hit vote it the 10% goes away and it votes it max. Then again voting on 2-300 posts per day manually there's a margin of error allowed every now and then I think. :p

I'm okay if people want to downvote it but I'm also okay with letting it be as the images are quality and it's a new user. ocdb already lost a ton of returns by voting this that high, current curation rewards incentivize people to vote more often with that size of an account for efficient ROI so I'd rather not penalize all our delegators by re-voting and it receiving 0 returns.

Well it's not just that, you complain about rewards and how you don't get any "whale votes" and regard your content to be worthy of it when it really isn't that special from what I've seen. Not to mention you posting in general content communities chasing whale votes instead of using communities better (which you've lately started doing I see so that's good). Not getting "whale votes" is one of those undeniable truths in my case. And you and me both have been long enough in these remunerated "social networks" in the blockchain to know very well that fact and why it is exactly what it is. I don't play so well with arbitrary rules. And that has been well established from day one. And you are well aware I've never been willing to sell my soul for just a few more cents.

And regarding thinking that our content is worthy of whale votes. Who doesn't?

On other hand, chasing whale votes? Hahaha, I never did that. If I have ever given that impression, it has only been to confirm and prove my point. Just to highlight with my sporadic experiments the ridiculous position in terms of quality of content and lack of sense of humor that all whales have in common at the time of qualify and value our posts.

Yeah! once upon a time when you used to do that. Not anymore from long time ago. In the measure you've been accumulating more stake, influence & power in our ecosystem as result of mingling with some other bamboozled big sea mammals, you've been lost in the twilight zone. Which is a real shame. But I understand your position very well. Our realities tend to vary greatly depending on whether our pockets accumulate lint and cobweb or things that tinkle. The weight and sound is very different and use to affect our heads big way.

There is no such thing as complaints in my content. I only point out the obvious, the evident, what is in view of everyone and I exhibit what I perceive as a forceful truth which needs to be analyzed, discussed and corrected. If only there were more people with the guts and balls to discuss the issues I raise without fear of retaliation.

And yeah, in almost five years trying to separate the wheat from the chaff in these funny places across the blockchain, in the quest to find true genuineness and authenticity. Unfortunately, there have been little more than a handful of these controversial authors that I have found so far that have been worth of teaming up.

So nope. what you've perceived like complaints or some sort of attention seeking behavior from my part or from those "controversial authors" that tell the things as they are, is a simple mirage in your own mind. A vain escape attempt and denial of what are indisputable realities that sadly your present position before your "peers" deprives you to accept unconditionally without first count with the previous approval of your transient peers. Yup, @nonameslefttouse sure is one who don't use to shy away from speaking his mind no matter the stake behind the person he's speaking to. And this is exactly how we should all be. Without exceptions!

Yep, that's true. He didn't. It's not his style because he is still too young & nice. But in my opinion, someone has to do it. But not for selfish or personal reasons. That would be absolutely useless and stupid. But because definitely someone has to turn out to be the spokesperson of so many others who feel incapable or do not know how to say what needs to be said for multiple reasons. Like for example, because they think they have something to lose if they say so. Ignoring what they really are losing and have already lost precisely by not saying what needs to be said on time.

It's very probable that I as an old man who has already seen enough. One who definitely feels as if he already has accomplished his mission in his long life. One who is now retired, alone and basically without any more responsabilities than only care for himself. Tends to opt and likes to assume publicly this "spokesperson" role simply because he can and also prolly because has much less to lose in his short way out to the exit door. Yeah, to whoever in a similar situation I reckon it's way more easy to do it and that's exactly what I'm doing.

It's not the first time I'm saying this. I said this multiple times before. Last time was exactly 11 days ago. But yeah, who could have noticed? Especially among the whales and affluent curators who don't read and what is even worse, they are not even the ones who vote because 'something' or someone else is voting with their "curation" accounts?

I agree! That is obvious, evident, tacit and understood. Anything else, is just pure fantasy and delusions of positive thinking.

For me, it's pretty clear that I want to connect mostly with people who has no problem to spit out their minds exactly as they conceive them in their brains. In other words, their truth. Yeah sometime it hurts, when you are trying hard to post good content but doesn't making any money. But, I think one shouldn't be feel sad or demotivated as we all post these kind of stuff on other social media platform which don't earn us a single penny throughout years.

Please do vote this back down to a sensible level @acidyo. It is very discouraging for people like myself who often spend days creating content and get around a $25 reward, to see someone post a bunch of food pics and less than 100 words of text and get over $300.

@cryptogee... Man cool down! No offense but I think your comment may discourage newbie. And it's not just a bunch of food pics, for me picture quality is too good. I see people are selling these types of images on stock photo websites. Though she got high-value vote by mistake, I think it's totally fine. There's no point to downvote it now.
She will be depressed for sure(even after realizing the issue) when she will find out that her reward came down to 40 or something like that. It's totally fine if she gets this reward. And the hive power will help her to give a decent start.

So downvoting isn't probably a good idea.

When i first came to Hive /Steemit as a noob, it was quite a good feeling to try to bag a whale vote and the first post for lots of people would often get a big upvote. More luck to these guys and welcome to Hive.

I agree the photoquality is superb and honestly the reason I just replied to him with a short comment is cause I'm not accepting people who just got back to posting and already doing better than 90% of other authors complain how they may feel seeing a newcomer get a big vote for once.

My point @pitboy is that it will encourage others to do this. Fair enough, if you guys are happy to have the blockchain populated by low quality posts that's up to you. Higher quality creators will leave.

So is it really giving encouragement or false hope? Also when others see one minnow getting say $50 for 1500 and various pics and links etc. that clearly took a long time, then another getting over $300 for mainly pics, they'll copy that and before you no it, you have a bunch of terrible introduce me posts.

Well I would appreciate it very much, but in my articles, a valid opinion on what I write. It feels very lonely over there, I would also value very much if after seeing my work you leave me some advice on how to do it better.

That's normal when someone is new. Imagine you just started up a new Youtube channel. That'll take some building and dedication. It's always quiet when you start out. As for making it better, that's hard to say. All I know is it needs to connect with people. Apply your own personality in order to make your content unique. Keep in mind, not everyone will be interested in your offerings, so don't take it personally. Search out like minds and talk to them. Be real. And that wall of text has got to go. Use paragraphs. And just know there are some people who have more videos on their youtube channels than they have views on all their videos combined. Welcome to the world of content creation.

You have the right attitude. My main concern starting out was how quiet it was; low views. There could be $20 bucks there, but it was art or jokes. That needs eyes and laughs. So rather than fading off and blending in with the rest, I started making my content loud as F. And I still do it to this day. But the hardest part about giving advice is knowing full well my approach would only work for me. Which is why I sent you that link. It's jammed with trade secrets but I may have hid some between the lines.

Well for now I'm not too worried about the economic rewards, my main activity is trading and I'm good at it. But I would like to join the community and feel that my work is not in vain and by that I mean to know that someone at least read what I spend so much time writing. Even if it is to tell me that I am doing it wrong, but knowing that someone is there is something important to me.

Just because you make a sound, that doesn't mean someone will hear it. Part of 'joining the community' is doing what you're doing right now. Mingling. Not many scroll through the new feed looking for fresh faces and if your content looks just like the rest that's not getting noticed, change it up. After years of being here, I'll tell you right now, a screenshot of candles is far too common. Change that to a flashy thumbnail that fits your style, and you're already on your way to creating a brand to call your own. Then have the screenshots and information inside the post. 'Clickbait' is only frowned upon when you're misleading someone. Eye catching headlines and solid thumbnail/covers are standard procedure. You said you're looking for views so I don't know what what else to tell you. If you're into that trading stuff, make sure you're hanging out in Leo Finance. That's where they congregate. It's not really my thing but I know people love it over there. You'll find a lot of personalities as well.
