Let's face it, operating off of grass is just 'plane' fun! It also opens up a whole new world to aviators to access via grass air strips such as in this video https://youtu.be/srpxRSgl_C8It is also somewhat nostalgic for me since I grew up on one at my families old farm in Thurmont, MD. Unfortunately, after 9/11 happened and the airspace was considerably constricted, we had to sell the grass air strip and it is now a quite horse farm.
Today was a perfect headwind down our grass runway 33. So Lima Lulu (my Grumman Traveler) took to the skies and did a few air hops 'around the patch' and took advantage of the wind being in our favor
