A few weeks back, a random number started sending me many photos which were my father's, from the time when he was a young man.
Later on I got to know that his best friend was the one sending those photos
By the first look, a mysterious feeling felt my gut...
The color, the texture of the photo which you could see very well even though what I was looking at was a digital photo taken form the actual physical photo.

Thinking of the poses, the way the fashion used to be. People used to carry themselves in a whole different way 50 years ago here in Iran. You don't see people posing for cameras this way anymore, unless for a themed photoshoot for some magazine or something. Nowadays people are very accustomed to cameras and lenses. 📸
Cameras were a luxury back then and not many people could actually afford them. So when someone had a chance of getting themselves in front of a camera, they'd just go posing real hard and serious like a statue as if the photo was gonna be a symbol of their personality and what they want people to see and remember(similar to now but maybe a bit more extreme).
Processing the photos were super time consuming comparing to now...
After taking the photos through just a lens. People, not knowing how the picture was taken or even if it's any good, had to wait, maybe months, to finally get the photos. In many cases pictures were not taken well, or even in the worst case, the film was ''burnt''.
The Photos that we are all bombarded with on a daily basis, were real rare then. A good that basically all the people have taken for granted these days. Then, poor people couldn't even think of having their photos taken, and now you see a lens, pretty much on every phone you see.
The progress is just mind-blowing. 50 years is not that much, but yet you can feel the difference vividly. I just wonder what's gonna be around in 50 years form now. How is my kid going to feel about the photos we count normal in this age. I think I'll an eye on that for sure...
Still though, those physical photos have a very different feel to them. Dramatic, with many mystery of the people in them...
