On behalf of our daughter, we want to thank every person who has expressed their shock, concern, love and solidarity with our family.
She has been feeling bad since about a month ago. What seemed like exhaustion from work and studies turned into anyone's greatest nightmare: on Thursday April 25th she was diagnosed with leukemia.

She had been hospitalized in Cumaná for three days and when it became apparent that her condition was serious, we were adviced to take her to Caracas where we were told she would received the medical care she needed.

It has been the hardest month in our lives, but we have been showered with love, support, and great healing energy.

@manujune is determined to overcome this obstacle. It's not an easy path and it will take time, resources, patience and faith. We want to thank the medical personnel of the Hospital Vargas in Caracas for their professionalism and love. Even though the hospital provided a good portion of the treatment for free, daily uncovered tests, staying, supplies, transportation, food expenses (among other things) require considerable resources we just don't have. So far, family and friends' help has allowed us to give @manujune everything she's needed as fast as it's required by doctors, but as doctors say, this is a marathon and this long run requires sacrifices and a supporting web.

Todo Hive, la comunidad musical y yo de forma muy personal estamos totalmente contigo @manujune y con el profesor @hlezama y toda tu familia; los momentos oscuros de la vida nos enseñan cosas importantes que no entenderemos hasta que ya las hallamos dejado atrás, esto es solo un contratiempo.
Nunca pierdas tu esencia, tu energía, tu sonrisa y tu pasión por lo que haces, porque esos son los motores más fuertes que te harán aferrarte a la vida en un momento donde todo cuenta, de corazón te lo digo ya a 9 años de haber sido operado de un pulmón, de haber durado casi mes y medio hospitalizado y estar a punto de no estar escribiendo este mensaje en este momento.
Te envío un abrazo fortísimo y mucho cariño, querida Manuela, todo estará bien porque tienes un montón de personas que no harán más que enviarte mucho afecto y bendiciones desde donde estemos.
