https://images.hive.blog/0x0/https://i.ibb.co/3NVwmz5/yFgf4yG.png

Hello friends of this prestigious platform. Again with you and with more ecology topics. This time I will be talking about the dolphins.

https://images.hive.blog/0x0/https://i.ibb.co/3NVwmz5/yFgf4yG.png

Recently my son sent me a video he made when he was sailing along the Venezuelan coast. It is about a group of dolphins that curiously accompanied the boat and were very close to the bow. I really liked this video, since it relaxed me quite a bit by observing their movements, as well as the intense blue of the sea. So much so that I decided to investigate them.

These species are called Coastal Dolphins (Sotalia Guianensis), of the family Delphinadae. They are the most common species among dolphin types. They are often caught in the nets of fishing fleets (although they are later released), but they also serve as a great help to fishermen by "pushing" quantities of fish into their nets. Very smart, right?

Other curious facts that caught my attention are:

I take this opportunity to show you the video where the dolphin group is observed along with the song of the Venezuelan interpreter Luis Silva - Venezuela.

I hope you liked it. I will be reading your comments.
