Dear reader,
Tell me, what do you see in this picture?
Are you seeing a painting of what is reflected below a waterline? Are you looking at some painted pine trees being reflected on water? And beneath the trees, are you seeing a reflected sky full of grey clouds?
Let's turn everything upside down!
Do the elements make more sense now? A dense row of pine trees with a grey cloudy sky above them. Right?
But is it really a painting? The pine trees do look like they were created with brush strokes and the use of various tones of green. And the sky too seems like a composition of different grey shades on a canvas.
As is often the case, looks might deceive! This is a photograph taken with a dsrl camera on a cloudy day. There has been no editing whatsoever. And here's the proof:
These shots made me realise that isolating the reflections on a body of water , and taking a shot of only what is beneath the waterline, can create a very artistic outcome, much different to a picture of the the whole landscape, that's more straightforward and less intriguing.
This is my entry for the 95th round of the Reflection Contest! Thank you @olgavita for hosting this inspiring contest!
