Greetings everyone, and welcome to my blog. It is another wonderful opportunity to listen to the word of God through His servant, Bro. Eli Soriano.

True discipleship does not come without cost. Jesus made it clear that following Him requires surrender. In Luke 9:23, He says, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” This verse teaches us that discipleship involves self-denial and daily commitment. It is a continual choice to put aside our own desires and align our lives with God’s will.

To take up our cross means we are willing to endure challenges, rejection, or sacrifice for the sake of Christ. The world may not always understand our faith, but as disciples, our loyalty is to Him above all else. Our lives should reflect Christ in our speech, actions, decisions, and relationships.

Discipleship also requires spiritual growth. We grow by studying God’s Word, spending time in prayer, and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and correct us. As we mature in faith, we begin to bear spiritual fruit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These qualities show evidence that Christ is truly at work within us.

Another essential part of discipleship is sharing the Gospel. Jesus commanded His followers in Matthew 28:19–20 to go and make disciples of all nations. True disciples not only follow Christ themselves but also lead others to Him. Our lives should be a testimony that points others toward God’s truth and grace.

Although the path of discipleship can be difficult, it brings great reward. When we remain faithful, we experience deeper fellowship with Christ, inner peace, and the joy of knowing we are walking in His purpose. The blessings of obedience far outweigh the temporary pleasures of the world.

In conclusion, true discipleship requires sacrifice, spiritual growth, and a commitment to share Christ with others. When we daily deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him faithfully, we continue the journey of becoming true disciples of Jesus Christ.

Thanks for reading.
