Olive Ridley Sea Turtles stay predominantly in tropical or subtropical areas. Hundreds of eggs are laid on beaches by each active female but only a small portion of the baby turtles survive. Even adult turtles are often prey to sharks. They are one of the most common sea turtles even though their population is declining due to poaching and accidentally getting caught in fishing nets.
