The past 4 weeks of my life have been very impactful and eventful.
On the 19th of September, I embarked on a 12hr journey just to learn a course but as funny as it might sound 😂 that wasn't the only reason. I have been at home for the past 8 months because federal universities have been on strike so I needed to be somewhere else but home at that moment. My chores were becoming monotonous and I needed a new space.

When I arrived the Camp on that day I was so exhausted and we spent more time in the hall because of our registration and after that we retired to bed very late and woke up very early. the next morning. Trust me I was already regretting leaving my house in the first place.

However, the first day of class was very impactful.In the month of April I had somethings written down in my journal that I wanted to learn and forgot about it, When I was coming for this program, my mind was focused on graphic designing little did I know that Desktop Publishing was everything I had written down in April. I was so happy and I got my groove back. On the first day of class, after our intoducing ourselves the class was cold, which is quite normal because we didn't know each other from anywhere but from the 3rd day we started talking to each other and we had no idea that 2 weeks was going to fly-by so quickly.

This is one of our early morning shenanigans 😂,it was very stressful, they told us we didn't come all the way there to relax, very intense.

I had rollercoaster of emotions, I wasn't getting enough sleep but I looked to the very next day because I was enjoying every bit of the class.

On Saturdays, we had sports and games. It was very fun trust me and the most interesting part of everything was me making friends, I wasn't actually good at that, but this time around it happened naturally and I really miss them so much now, reasons why I don't like getting too attached, LoL.

Apparently we became a very big family and started getting to know each other, we created a WhatsApp group that enhanced our relationships and more.

When the two weeks came to an end we were given our certificates and Some persons departed. While some of us stayed for the last program we had which was a Church Convention and a glorious one and students from the two weeks program were in charge of sharing food to the rest that came the Convention.

I and @nemevjassy 🥰 met in this program and we bonded, while talking we found out we were both on HIVE... We could relate on a lot of things

I'm glad I acquired a skill that will serve me long term and I didn't let the ASUU strike criple me... If you're Nigerian let's talk in the comment section about other skills you've learnt and what really kept you going.

Thankfully, the strike has been suspended,which means it could continue if demands are not met. In the mean time, Congratulations to all Nigerian students.
