Post an intellectual article, motivational speech, inspirational sermon, political matter or a contemporary issue and people will show little or zero interest.Some will complain it's too lengthy, but these same persons will patiently and gladly read an erotic story much more voluminous.
These days jokes are appreciated better than mind tasking activities, mediocrity is celebrated over ingenuity and ignorance is continually festering nonchalance.
We circumvent challenges and opt for the easier, smoother route. We neglect the immense, almost infinite possibilities attainable if the power of the mind is employed.
How then does the nation make advancements when the "future leaders" supposed to spearhead the march are laid back in arm chairs too comfortable with their plight.
We need a mental surgery, a reconfiguration and a detour from the gloomy, damning path we're heading.
