Or does we sound better?
We were out there.
On the staircase,
you trying to find a
reason to hold on,
and me,
trying to forget all
the reasons I had.
You turn to look at me,
and for a minute,
all the chaos,
it comes to a stop.
You look for something in my eyes.
Probably another story,
or maybe an answer to the tears hidden.
You tell me how late it is,
and that I should go.
I can feel the sound of
the cars in the traffic come back,
I can hear your voice over mine.
For once,
your voice sounds better
than the one in my head.
And,
just like that,
chaos became my favourite silence.
