The days here by the Danube river pass in a special, different rhythm. You may already know that we are on vacations visiting our old place of living and our families. The Easter holidays are still in the center of events, even though they are slowly nearing their end, and some family members have already had to return to their jobs and their usual lifestyles.

So the same happened with my niece, that is, my long-time companion for cycling adventures in these areas; she had to return to the city where she currently lives, and that is how I was left without her company for this activity that was usually shared by the two of us. Anyway, today's surprisingly nice weather made me choose a short bike ride, instead of a siesta. Alone. Which doesn't mean I didn't enjoy my little trip to the same extent.

Although my two-wheeled vehicle was named Discovery, I did not go that far to explore new lands. I just stayed on the very well-known paths for me and "discover" the same landscape I already know.

I think I carry in my veins the murmur of the river, the rustle of leaves on the branches, the smell of the Danube river and the buzzing of insects . Maybe the only difference is that I usually spend time here in the summer, but now it is spring, so the vegetation has just started to turn green, in its light and gentle shade of green.

I passed by the places that are probably familiar to other Hivers who happened to visit the little meetup last summer. Also those who read my posts could recognize Ark Liberland Village...

The bee hives between the river and the forest...

...or the place where I met some storks last summer. Well, I thought it would be just in a year that I would see these landscapes again however we surprised even ourselves with the decision to come for the Easter holidays here.

And it feels good! Not just the fact we are spending some time with our families and surrounded by this nature but also the feeling of choosing our own little break in the middle of a crazy pace of work I have.

No, I can't complain about being busy with things I really enjoy doing. ๐นStill, having a short break will provide me some extra energy once we are back to the routine. This blue colour can bring so much peace of mind, don't you think so? ๐

It is wonderful how the rhythm of the Danube becomes a haven amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The connection you feel with your surroundingsโfrom the murmur of the river to the rustling of the leavesโis a reminder of the peace that nature can offer, especially during times of transition such as these.
The absence of your niece on your cycling adventures may feel like a void, but your choice to enjoy a solo ride shows admirable resilience. Sometimes, solitude can be a way to rediscover the familiar and find serenity in the known.
The fact that you have decided to return to this place in spring, when life begins to blossom, is a wise decision that reflects the value of taking a breather amidst the hustle and bustle. It is true that the blue of the river and the freshness of the vegetation can bring unrivalled peace, reminding us of the importance of balancing our passions with moments of reflection.
Make the most of every moment of this time with your family and nature. These moments are what nourish the soul and prepare us to face the frenetic pace that often surrounds us.
