I may be late with this post because there is not much time left from this day, the first day of the new month...
First of all, I want to thank everyone who participated in the previous month's theme, which put the spotlight on books. I also want to apologize to those who posted in the last few days, and I didn't have time to respond to their post. But the circumstances were interesting, if I may call them that. Without going into too many details, I will reveal that we are on a trip and that I was feeling pretty bad, so much so that at one point it seemed that we wouldn't even be able to start the journey.
However, yesterday morning, when we arrived at our destination, Budapest, the first photo I took was this interesting stand with books on a street. Of course, it reminded me of Hive and our monthly topic in the Collector's community. Once again, thanks to everyone who participated and showed their collection and the stories behind the collection. Books that mean something to us, those that are special for some reason or written by our favorite authors, that are given as gifts or that are dedicated to us, that contain stories or knowledge, that have the power to shape us, to give us the opportunity to experience the moments of other people, are actually treasures. Maybe there are a few selected books, or we have hundreds of them; it doesn't matter. A collection is a treasure close to our hearts. But the month is over, and it is time for a new topic. (This does not mean that those who want to show their collection at some point cannot do so at any time. Collections are always welcome.)
So, here we go. Easter is around the corner, and if we could have a collection of Christmas decorations or items connected to Christmas, we can also have a collection of Easter decorations, right? Well, I am not sure if it is a thing at your place, but for example in Hungary and several other European countries, there is a tradition of decorating the homes with little bunnies, flowers and most importantly, painted eggs.
When I arrive at my parents' home and we do the traditional decoration, I will take some photos. Also, I have some at my home so it is already a collection creating itself... at the moment just in my mind, and later when I have the photos, I will show those little wooden painted eggs, chocolate bunnies that survived years (and decades haha), and other decorations in a post, in my official entry. Until then, there are just some small details I saw today in some flower shops.
I hope you will find some ideas for this topic. Do you play Easter egg hunt maybe? Or do you like all the chocolate figures connected to Easter?
