For those who regularly spend time in the world of blockchain and web3 gaming, 'Splinterlands' is a very familiar and popular name. It is a strategic card game where each card has its own strength, weakness and economic value. After being associated with this game for a long time, I recently decided to open a new pack with a little more budget. My journey of this new experience began by purchasing a starter pack of the new version of the game "Conclave Arcana". Today I will share with you the real-life experience of opening that pack, the excitement and the details of the cards received.

The attraction of Conclave Arcana:
The background story of this new chapter or version of Splinterlands is quite interesting. In the future reconstruction of Splinterlands after the fall of the Chaos Empire, Portia Nyr and her Conclave Arcana have emerged from the darkness to uncover the secrets of Pretoria. The excitement of opening a pack with such an interesting theme was very high. I purchased a "STARTER PACK" by spending 1,000 Credits from the game shop. This pack was guaranteed to have a total of 5 common or rare cards, including at least 1 rare card. However, as per the rules, there is no chance of getting any gold or black foil cards from the starter pack.

After successfully purchasing the pack with credits, the process of opening the cards by going to the game's 'Mana Well' screen began. When five cards appeared upside down on the screen, a strange excitement was working in my mind. Card opening in blockchain gaming is a lot like a game of luck. If you get a card with a good price or meta-rules, you can get a good price in the marketplace as well as in the game. That moment of flipping the cards on the screen one by one was really worth watching.

Unfortunately, after revealing the cards, I realized that my luck was not very helpful today. The details of the 5 cards I got from the pack are given below:

Thraghun (Rare): This is a death element or purple colored card. Its mana cost is 9. It is a rare card and its attack type is Melee. Although the health and armor of the card are quite good, its extra mana cost can make it a bit difficult to use in normal or low mana battles.

Fithe Bladestone (Rare): This is a rare card of the fire element, with a mana cost of 4. This card has the ability to boost melee attacks. The design of the card is quite nice and it can be quite useful for fire deck users.

Mad Kaboomist (Common): This 4 mana card of the Earth element is basically a long-range or ranged attacker. Although the mechanics of the card are good, it is a common or common card.

Real experience and some words:
To be honest, when I opened the pack and saw that there was no big prize or very valuable card, I felt a little bad. As a gamer, we always hope that the return on our first big investment will be a little attractive. However, in crypto or NFT based games, this randomness or luck has to be accepted.
Overall, it was a new and great learning experience for me. The cards in the Conclave Arcana Edition are very interesting to look at and their artwork is truly commendable. Although I did not get the desired valuable card, it is still possible to create some new strategies within the game with these cards. The key to victory in Splinterlands does not depend only on expensive cards, but rather the correct use of the right card at the right time brings victory. I may test my luck again with a new pack in the future, but this experience today will be one of the memories in my gamer life.
