Evening.
Today was all about making things fit.
Re-purposing things to fit, so I used 1 old hose, cut it in half and 1 old brake lever cover and did the same, to get them to be a cushion on the Montesa cot 348 so the alloy tank does not rub through and wear a hole in it.
They used foam back in 1978 when this bike was made, and that is long since perished and gone into a bin by a previous owner.
Here is how it sits after.

Trying to keep a nice gap between a very hot exhaust and the fuel tank you see.
And with the cover on?

A bit of petrol tank still hanging out of the bottom, so more refinement to do tomorrow.
The other side is worse, so something is not adding up, and I have to modify either the cover or the rubbers.
