Hi Steemit Community,

This is my first time in blogging and i don't know how to start. I'm not really a socially active in online, I'm rarely post anything in facebook, so I guess I will start here and this will be my starting point. I guess expressing your thoughts through writing is good, that's what I read from other blogs. Anyways, I hope you'll like my first blog, my English is not really that good but I hope you'll find this interesting.

I want to share my first time abroad, just the short story of my journey. Well, actually I'm from the Philippines and I'm an OFW here in Qatar. It was in August last year then I came here in Doha with other 3 KABAYAN, we are working in the same store.

(Actually we have a group picture when we arrive in the airport, but we deleted it, unfortunately.)

When we first step out of the airport it was so hot, it was 11pm that time. We expected that daytime time is hot and nighttime is cold, but I guess we were wrong. So, you maybe wondering why I'm here in Qatar? It's simple and it's the same reason of every Filipino working abroad, I'm looking for opportunities to make me and my family life's better.

So, fast-forward to 2 months after, it was cold season for 5 months and I guess it was the best. I have a decent job,a decent place to live, and I have some great time wandering around with some of my buddies.

At first I thought this is a boring place to to wander around since it's a desert. I'm from a tropical country so basically I love trees, mountains and birds singing. Here all I see are a lot of sands, a lot of coconut-like trees, and a lot of cats.

Then theirs that one time, my buddies invite me to come with them in the park. At first I was kind of lazy and tired, but then I realized that I should at least experience what is outside. Then that time when came in the park I was surprised. I guess I was wrong, I guess this is not a boring place after all.

We have a lot of fun. We take pictures, play and sit on the grass. The scent of grass and trees makes me feel so comfortable. It's kind of make me miss my home.

We watched the sunset in a hilltop-like landscape. i didn't capture the sunset with my phone but what I saw that time was beautiful.

I guess working here abroad if good thing, it's kind of scary too because I'm far away from home. It's also challenging and fun and I guess I'll see a lot of interesting things here.

Well this is all I can share for now, I hope it's good. I hope I can share more stories and experience in the future. Also, I hope the Steemit Community will share some ideas and thoughts on blogging and vlogging, I really like to learn a lot about this. That's for me now, thanks a lot.
