Hmm, I just tried it out by answering a question on the site and it still posted to my blog. Does this only apply for answers on questions moving forward? (Edit: I deleted it from my blog, just in case anyone goes to look and is confused.)

Date ideas for a first date?

@maverickfoo | May 20, 2018, 11:40 p.m. | Votes: 3 | [ VOTE ]
  1. Pick an activity you are familiar with
  2. Stack your dates to create a lasting impression
  3. Pick a restaurant you are familiar with
  4. A movie is an easy way to prolong the date and to have something to talk about (be smart about the movie choice)
  5. Design a date in your strength, not your weakness.

If you're an introverted dude, check out this post for 53 dating tips.

the classic dinner and a movie first date formula is a tried and true choice but it is old.
an amusement park could be a solid choice if there is one close by.
if you feel daring and there is a water park near you that could be a nice change of pace.
an afternoon picnic on the beach or at a nice park.
a trip to a museum or aquarium followed by a nice meal.
or ask her or him, what they would like to do on the date before the two of you go out.
most important be yourself unless you're a total douche bag ass hole.

What programming language does EOS use for its contracts?

@superoo7-dev | May 20, 2018, 11:42 p.m. | Votes: 5 | [ VOTE ]

C++

The way EOS work is that the C++ code will be compiled down to WebAssembly and deploy into their EOS network.

Since WebAssembly at current state only accept 2 languages (C++ and Rust), I guess that's why C++ is chosen.

What is the nature of reality?
Some of the greatest minds have thought deeply and ponder the nature of reality. This is the highest philosophical question that cannot be answered so easily. For centuries, men and women have tried to understand the nature of existence, life, consciousness and reality. Only a few have found convincing answers. Is life only a physical manifestation of matter and energy? Alternatively, is reality a mental manifestation? If life is completely physical, it can only be explored empirically — scientifically. However, if there are mental aspects of reality, another way of research can be self-examination.

Why does the Sun and the Moon seem the same size?
We know that the Sun is much larger than the Moon. However, when viewed from the Earth, the Sun and Moon appear to be about the same size. The reason for this is that the Sun is about 400 times larger than the moon, but at the same time about 400 times farther away. As a result, the Sun seems to be the same size as the Moon. However, isn't it a strange coincidence that the Sun is 400 times bigger and 400 times farther away? Is it just a coincidence or a thought-provoking question?

@coinsandchains | May 21, 2018, 5:16 a.m. | Votes: 3 | [ VOTE ]

Distance versus size, using rough estimates for brevity. Basically, the sun is 400 times larger than the moon. Then the Sun is 400 times further from earth than the moon. This gives the appearance that they are the same size.
Very few planets in the Universe could produce the spectacular Solar eclipses seen from earth, because of this near perfect ratio.

Are you shaping your own destiny?
Another interesting question for reflection is the theme of fate. Do you think you are in control of your destiny or do you believe that your future is already formed and you are just moving along the planned path or something? It is a thought-provoking question of free will and power to shape one's own destiny.

@coinsandchains | May 22, 2018, 3:31 p.m. | Votes: 0 | [ VOTE ]

I love this question and has been debated for thousands of years. Comming from a Christian perspective here is what I believe.

Yes and No. You have free will to make choices, that impact the results you receive in your life. You also have a Creator who has an all-encompassing plan for everyone, that will be carried out exactly as he has predetermined.

So, You have multiple paths you could take, and a Creator who wants you to arrive at a particular destination or perform a certain action. If you choose a path that does not lead to the outcome the Creator desires, He already knew the choice you would make and had already taken your choices into account in the over-all larger plan.

Another interesting aspect, the Creator may place things in your path (experiences, personality traits, people, etc.) that guide you to an outcome that He desires. This could be especially true if it was crucial to the over-all larger plan.

As I said yes and no. You can make choices, but it always works out as the Creator planned, because he already knew the choice you would make.

Just my #twocents take it or leave it.

People get better through the generations?
If we look at human evolution, we see that there has been continuous progress over the last centuries. Of course, there were ups and downs, but it cannot be denied that there were significant improvements. In this technological age, however, it is interesting to reflect on whether people are really getting better with each generation? This issue is not so much focused on scientific and technological progress. It focuses more on human qualities and behavior. Have we really evolved over the decades? Our ancestors were morally and intellectually less gifted than us?

@rahulkukreja | May 21, 2018, 9:32 a.m. | Votes: 0 | [ VOTE ]

Yes, IQ is increasing with 10 points every 5 decades with help of technology and communication.Internet has played main role in enhancing intelligence and knowledge due which resources are easily available to people ,which was not possible earlier.

Making money has become a smart game with smart contracts and collecting funds are more efficient and easy.Competition has surged more than 100% in a decade which shows ,future will be scarce and demand will be high while intelligence will be profound.

Engagement.

You can write the world's best article, film the unverse's best video, record the best songs and no one will know about it if no one knows about you. If you look at the top content creator steemian on the platform (disregrading a few special cases), you will realize one thing. Their comment count is at least 2x to 10x compared to their post count.

@gringalicious, @papa-pepper, @anomadsoul, @surfermarly, @aggroed and many others all have this in common.

It may be more nuanced that this, but to give it to you simply, participate in discussion, read and comment on every post you read. Share your thoughts and engage in civil discussion to share your ideas.. make friends in the comment section. More often than not if people gained attention of your username enough times they will likely be curious as to who you are. Be consistent enough and you will be in the zeitgeist of the steem community. even if just a small part of it.

no amount of link spamming and vote bidding can get you anywhere near that level of long term passive promotion.

What were the biggest changes in your life the moment you became a parent?

@digitaldreamer | May 21, 2018, 11:27 a.m. | Votes: 5 | [ VOTE ]

I became a parent at 17. Then our second child came into the world when I was 20. The biggest challenge for me then was to earn enough to support not just myself but also my wife and two kids.

We eventually had 4 kids. Supporting them financially is still a challenge.

The biggest change in my life was that I had to care not just for myself but for my offsprings and wife as well. I think this contributed to my resilience. Parenthood will teach you many things and being patient is one of them.

Less sleep. Less free time. And definitely less "us" time with the missus.

I find myself worrying about the child more than I would like to admit. I'm always thinking about "what if" and go take a bunch of precautions.

Furthermore, as a parent, I found myself taking financial decisions more seriously and become involved in more investment ventures and smart savings because I hope my son will benefit from what we built for him later on.

Something I noticed about a year after my daughter was born was that since we had her, I've never been bored. It seems like now, for basically the first time in my life, I never have enough time to do all of the things that I want to do. I never spend enough time with my family, enough time working, enough time exercising, or enough time on my hobbies.

Not that I'm complaining; the joy of getting to know my daughter easily outweighs all of the added challenges.

Why earning money is so difficult?

@digitaldreamer | May 21, 2018, 11:23 a.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

This is not true for everyone. Difficulty is relative. While it may be difficult for some to earn money, it's relatively easy for some.

Once you get out of subsistence level, you will have more opportunities to earn money more easily. If you're struggling now, you have to find a way to earn enough to support your basic needs first. Once you accomplish does, it gets easier.

I think it's because most people consume same things - food (bread, some meat, rice and water). Go to the same places - local bar or dance club. Serf internet on the one place - Facebook and YouTube.

To any of these sources of money there is one or two established producers - money makers. If you want to take over their business, you need to be better, and you start from the weaker point than they are. - who has consumer base and money flow.

To be on the VIP market, you need to know what they need. You should talk with them. VIP people often spend their money to expencive cars, parties and property. If want to sell them a lamborghini you need to have one or know someone who has lamborghini for sale. It's hard to get their attention.

Also, it's hard to make money because you don't see where you can succeed, or you see only the one industry and lose attention to others. Also, it takes time to make from your project money. If you want to make a site, like musing.io, it take 5 - 20 weeks and around 30$ initial investment.

Most people buy same stuff - bread, rice, some meat, milk amd some vegetables. Open same sites - facebook and youtube. Go to same restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

All those businesses have established vendors. If you want to take over their businesses you need to be better. You start from a weaker point. they have consumers, not you.

If you want to make big money, then you need to have big money. Example: you want to be lanborgini trader, then you need one, or to finde VIP consumers and lambo trader, and to be someone between them.

You have no option or you have only one option and reject all others. Thisnk of thise like that : you wanna sell cabbages, you think it's cool, but you refuse to try sell carrot and salty corn even though stats say that cabbage is not the best product to sell now.

And last one - to make money from something takes TIME. To build this site (musing.io) took around 5 - 20 weeks and atleast 20$. People who have 0$ can't spend 20 weeks for a chance to make money.

Matthew 13:12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.

That's why earning money is so difficult.

@coinsandchains | May 22, 2018, 5:45 a.m. | Votes: 1 | [ VOTE ]

I have to disagree with that statement. This verse out of context appears to support what you are saying, but within the context, it is speaking about knowledge of the kingdom of God.

Matthew 13:10-13
10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?”
11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables:
“Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

The proceeding 9 verses in Matthew 13 (Parable of the Sower) does contain a principle that could be used to explain why some find it difficult to earn money. You could say they are not sowing enough seeds to receive what they want, or sowing in the wrong places.

Essentially, a person will be paid for the amount of value that they provide to others. If you want to make more you have to provide more value to more people.

Just my #twocents take it or leave it.

It's true, yes. However every day (I even dare say every second) poor people are poorer, and wealthy people continue to increase their capital. There is a very large gap between rich and poor, where there should be an equality, at least, not so distant. However, if this happens, we should first move forward, for example, in the robotics, since the jobs that the workers do, say, will not be done by anyone and will see a lack of manpower. I think more or less. It's like a paradox.

@rahulkukreja | May 25, 2018, 6:48 a.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

Money is just a short form of an investment which produces more money without much efforts which all rests to the decision you made while making this investment,it may be zero or doubled.

Hard working employees are just a benediction which ultimately provide returns to the Investor who has made a right decision for hard working and less rewarded employees which is a very boorish truth that,'money makes money very easily'.

@darthnava | May 29, 2018, 7:32 a.m. | Votes: 1 | [ VOTE ]

That is because money does not grow on trees.

@mykos | May 29, 2018, 12:46 p.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

It's hard to earn money because we are naturally driven by supply and demand. We only find value in what we need at the time we need it and what's available. So a person looking to provide value in exchange for value. Needs to be putting out equal value.

Unfortunately what is being offered by the seeker may not be what is in demand. So that makes it more difficult. If you have something to barter that everyone has in large supply. Then i may not want to trade you for what you have. I may not be able to as i may need something i find even more valuable to live at the time.

So money is not really money in the terms of how we think of it. I think of it more as energy or limited control over resources for durations of time. So these aren't just things moving around like paper. These are representative of things we really need.

@jorgedr0id | May 30, 2018, 2:13 p.m. | Votes: 1 | [ VOTE ]

I think its a matter of mindset, to make money you need to know people, you know the right people you can get a good job, or several businesses, trading, and endless options, but if your mind is not ready to receive you will not do it

Define your difficult?

@awesomianist | Aug. 14, 2018, 2:05 a.m. | Votes: 1 | [ VOTE ]

Because you think it's difficult.

There is a truism (though not a "law" per se) called the Law of Attraction. It's that the world around you changes according to what you will of it. This is not saying everyone has reality-bending superpowers though, that would be absurd.

Say you wonder why is making money so hard. Earning money is basically getting value in exchange of the value you create, the foundation of modern-day capitalism. Is there anything you're doing that creates value? are you given value for the value you created? is there demand for your supply of value?

Sometimes all it takes is knowing the right customer to set you on the course of getting paid to do what you do.

Maybe you're a working salarymen and promotion is hard to come by. Well, do you have the value to warrant a promotion? have you gotten better as an employee since you started working? There are 24 hours in a day, 10 is for resting (ideally), 8 is spent in your workplace, what you are doing with the remaining 6?

Money is merely a means to an end, stored value, ultimately you have to first be clear with yourself of what your goals are. The pursuit of money is a path to madness and if you ask all the billionaires in the world, chasing money was never their end goals even though somehow day by day they get "magically" richer.

Has human morality been studied?
Where does morality come from? Is that what we absorb from our families, friends and teachers? Alternatively, is it something innate that lies within us? If we absorb morality from our families, how did it appear once, from our most distant ancestors?

Is life better now than in the past?
When we look at this question superficially, we can conclude that life is much better now than, for example, 50, 200 or even a thousand years ago. However, this judgement is based mainly on advances in various fields such as technology, health, human rights and the ease of life. However, if we subtract these achievements from our consideration, is modern life much better than in the past? We are happier today than people were 50 years ago? Are meaningful life and we living a more fulfilling? Is it possible that our ancestors were also happy with their lives, despite much tougher conditions?

This is just my point of view on how things are in general. Of course, there are improvements science, technology, transportation and so on. But the most important things seems lost.

People seem happier and more content in the past. And that's what a lot of people search nowadays.

How does Vote Selling benefit the sellers & buyers and Steemit as a whole?

@aamin | May 21, 2018, 3:29 p.m. | Votes: 1 | [ VOTE ]

I will answer only the last part: Vote selling hurts the steemit platform far more than anything else. Vote buyers are greedy or ignorant of the long term effects of their actions. Voting is to the advantage of both the voter and the user being voted. If no one is buying votes, the sp holders would still have to vote in order to enjoy the benefits of curation as well as for the value of steem to appreciate.

@mykos | May 22, 2018, 1:46 a.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

My answer would be vote selling hurts if steemit wasn't a complicated platform. Steemit is a very complicated platform and the effect of vote selling is hard to calculate.

For example at first glance one would clearly go this is a bad idea. However, when you add into the scenario bad distribution, bad curation or none at all. You begin to see without both manual and automated systems steemit may actually be worse off without voting bots and the like.

Let's consider a steemit without vote buying and selling for a moment. Sounds good but you'd in theory have less distribution. For example, the largest holders of sp may also be the most busy people. Which means they may do very little in the curation department if anything at all.

Let's say to remedy that they delegate their sp to some other person who can go about curating. Well now you have alot of influence in power in the hands of one person with a specific opinion and set of ideas. This person may only be interested in a particular subject of steemit posts.

In short as bad as vote buying sounds. It may actually make the steemit economy more sustainable. That is a theory but based on the already bad distribution on steemit. Massive concentration of influence ot less than 1%. Then statistically its no reason to believe distribution would be better without an automated voting service. If anything it would have to still be worse.

I typed the same answer twice and posted both because I did not know that the earlier one had gone through. I would like to delete one of them but don't know how to.

You can do it on steemit.com. before it will appear as blog post but now they change it and it only appears now on the comment section. So if you wanted to edit just go to your steemit account at the comment section.

What will the Apocalypse look like?
Scientists continue to tell us that the Sun will eventually run out of hydrogen, which feeds it. Once this point is reached, the Sun will die. However, before that happens, it will begin to expand until, eventually, it destroys everything left on Earth. It's really interesting to think about how the Apocalypse will happen. Will it be 5 billion years from now, or will people have settled in other galaxies by then? Perhaps the Apocalypse is much closer than many might think. Perhaps people will cause any apocalyptic events or asteroids will contribute to this?

Is it possible to imprison an alleged criminal before committing a crime?
The science fiction story of Philip K. Dick “The Minority Report” makes you think about working with crime forecasts. If we assume that one day in the future, advanced algorithms or something else entirely, can predict crimes, do we have the moral right to imprison people long before they commit a crime?

What's going on to musing.io? The last questions I answered was went on the comment section of my steemit account instead to "my blog" section?

@musing | May 21, 2018, 6:51 p.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

We just released a big change last night so that questions and answers are all created as comments rather than blog posts. One of the main things stopping people from joining our platform was that there were too many Musing posts on their blogs from writing and answering questions,, effectively spamming their followers.

We believe that sending questions and answers as comments is the right way to go. However, we will be releasing a feature soon that allows you, if you like, to also post your answers to your blogs. This way, for the people that want to have more exposure to their posts, they'll be able to do just that!

I have notice something. The person who posted the questions on musing.io will no longer get upvotes unless someone will open it on steemit at the comment section. There are more people who answers the quetions rather than posting questions. I hope users will post more questions and get rewards.

level 2 daughter, (question asker level as they are a parent to level3)

To not fall into debates of group or kin selection, consider the cooperation to be among strangers.

@holovision | Aug. 14, 2018, 1:58 a.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

It used to be unquestioned that human cooperation was instinctual because humans are social animals. However, recent research suggests that cooperation is actually a learned process and that humans can adapt to new rules based on how much cooperation there is a society.

tips on loosing weight that have worked for me:
a 2000 calories a day diet.
more vegetables and fruits.
no soda or candy, no cakes or dessert pies or pastries.
coffee lemon juice prune juice and mineral oil are effective diuretics and laxatives.
drink a liter of plain water a day.

exercise as much as you can.

Gaining weight is a lot easier than losing it. Prevention is better than cure, so as soon as you notice that your weight is going up, do something about it. Here's what I do. I weigh myself everyday and if I see an alarming increase, I start eating less. I drink more water and I get myself some green smoothies. Its difficult but I try really hard. What are some of the best vacations you’ve had?

@kristiankho | May 22, 2018, 5:46 p.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

November 2017. The first time i ever flew beyond my country, the time i ever flew to Europe, the first time i flew to Portugal.

It was a two week excursion with a friend in one of the oldest city in Europe.

The reason i traveled there was the same reason that made the travel possible, Steemfest2 Lisbon. This was the first ever actual vacation i had and it was a vacation that was paid for fully in Steem. Even the plane tickets and accommodation.

It was wonderful, the city, Steemfest, the whole experience. I come from Malaysia so we pretty much hate the sun. Over there, with the temperature and how the sun shines, i can sleep under the sun.. it's the first time i ever fell asleep under the sun. Sounds stupid but it blows mind sleepy mind when i woke up from the sunbathed nap.

The booze is....... a bottle of wine cost 1 euro... 1.Euro. There was never a day where i wasnt at least tipsy.

And the main reason it's the best vacation I ever have in my life yet is because of Steemfest itself. Imagine being surrounded by people that shares something in common, believes in something in common, and at the same time is as diverse as it it gets. The same circle of people will have Nerds, Selfie girls, hippies, digital nomads, CEO, activists standing together and talk and talk and talk, booze in hand.

I'll always remember that vacation. And hope that Steemfest3 can be as good if not better than that.

Is there something more than ourselves?
If you are looking for a controversial question, it is a question of whether there is a higher power. A large number of living people today feel (at least in some way) something more than they do. There are approximately 900 million atheists, and a much larger number of people who believe in higher powers. While unbelievers and believers are firmly convinced of their beliefs, it is not easy or even impossible to find a definite answer to the question. Way, it’s equally interesting to think about: either did the world just come out of a brilliant coincidence, or is there some sort of "Supreme power" that set it all in motion?

Is there a person in your life for whom you will sacrifice your life? Would you be able to sacrifice his life for the salvation of a large group of people, perhaps unfamiliar to you?

Will we one day know the truth about everything?
In recent years, we are opening more and more new knowledge and achievements. Humanity today knows much more than humanity of past centuries, however, there are still many mysteries and unexplained things. However, what if one-day scientific progress reaches a point where we can explain any phenomenon in life? Will life without mystery become more interesting? What will we strive for when everyone knows?

What's the point of achieving anything at all in life coz when you die you can't take it with you?

@kristiankho | May 22, 2018, 6:25 p.m. | Votes: 3 | [ VOTE ]

lets reframe the question eh?

"why do nothing when you're living if you have a whole eternity do it instead?"

Both questions are equally legit. You DONT have to do anything at all with your life. Nature doesn't care, the universe doesn't care.

There is no purpose to life. Well, there is kinda one technically, biologically your purpose is to pass on your DNA and ensure that the Homo Sapiens does not go extinct. maybe that's the only thing nature cares about when it comes to what you should do.

It's all about perspective. Because there is no "greater purpose" in life, Life is exactly what you make it to be. Be it good or bad.

I dont care about what happens to me after i die the same way i didnt care what happened to me before i was born. This lifetime is what i have and you damn right im going to make the best of it with what i have.

We can talk about it more if you are interested in a civil discussion. It's 2.25am now as i type this and my mind isnt exactly sharp.

Great answer. The evolutionary definition is always useful to think about, and I've thought about this question a lot too! I've come to the same conclusions - that we were created and built to survive, and that our existence is most likely at least unknown to us within our ability to know. However, if and when you accept that we exist to survive and to prosper, then it can make life a lot more exciting! There should be pride in living a life aimed at prosperity imo.

@strongestpower | June 6, 2018, 6:09 p.m. | Votes: 3 | [ VOTE ]

Depends on your beliefs, really. I do not think their is a correct answer here. Some may say to continue on the human race and another may question that statement with "why should the human race continue on?" Is there a bigger picture here?
Why are we able to ask ourselves these questions when a dog or cat is not yet we still have the same reproductive functionality of both.
I would say ask yourself what you think your purpose is here, maybe it is something like taking care of your child, being a florist or space travel. Whatever you believe your purpose to be is probably why you were born.

We wake up from the dream. We review our 'life'. We rest and recover :). We plan the next incarnation as 'formless spirit' taking on yet another 'physicality' in order to experience, to learn, to grow - ever expanding in an utterly interconnected and living universe of energetic benevolence.

@howiemac | July 27, 2018, 8:38 a.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

We don't die. Our bodies die. We remain - that is our consciousness continues, only - for a while - we no longer have the physical body to identify with and play around in. We realise when we "die", if not before, that we are not these bodies but eternal beings of love and light who can play many games in many types of bodies in many universes. When bodiless, we can review all of our life experiences, and understand them, and accordingly choose what our next incarnation will be.

That is how it functions in my cosmos, anyway!

You can't. If you could it would not be infinite.

@holovision | Aug. 4, 2018, 2:27 p.m. | Votes: 3 | [ VOTE ]

Infinity is a concept. Mathematicians can treat infinity as a number but it is not literally meant to be a real or natural number. An object can be said to be multiplied by an infinite number of times or one object can be divided into an infinite amount of smaller units.

If you want to "look at infinity" then look at a fractal. A fractal can be magnified indefinitely without losing its structure because a fractal can have infinite perimeters.

Why do we dream?

@diffuseloop | May 23, 2018, 12:30 a.m. | Votes: 0 | [ VOTE ]

There are many theories about why we dream. Some say dreams are meaningful and should be interpreted, they are manifestatons of our subconcious.Some say dreams have no meaning and brains produces drams accidentaly based on what we know and experience while awake.

Dreams occur in the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) phase of the sleep cycle, about 6-8 times during nights sleep. It's the state when the brain is hyperactive (and it helps memorising what you did and learned the past day) but all muscles in the body are totaly paralised, except eye muscles (hence the name). You can see persons eyes moving unbelievably fast when in this state.
That hyperactivty produces dreams and we dream in every REM cycle, but we rarely remember our dreams. Best chance you have of remembering a dream is if you wake up after a REM phase and the dreams you had in that last REM phase is the ones you will remember.

Most plausible theory to me is that dreams are just random memories from our brain getting sorted and our brain makes sense of them by creating an imaginary world where those random signals make sense (a dream). That's why there's always something weird about a dream :)

What is the truth? Is there an absolute truth?

@sakujo | May 23, 2018, 5:33 a.m. | Votes: 0 | [ VOTE ]

It is the aim of philosophy to know truths in the universe, so my advice would be to study philosophy.

However, you can pretty much give up on knowing any absolute truth, because there will always be a way to doubt it. The first philosopher to really tackle this problem was Descartes in his book Meditations. You should look it up if you want to know more. He said that the only thing we can know for certain is that we exist. That is where the statement, "Cogito ergo sum", or "I think, therefore I exist" came from.

The value of steem is indirectly proportional to its popularity and popularity is directly proportional to number of users on the platform. More users means more demand for steem and when demand increases, price goes up.

Musing will surely keep on growing if users will post a lot of questions. I keep on searching questions but only seeing few. If users will get rewarded like a little bit high upvote value I'm sure this platform will be flooded with questions. Does musing.io have any plans to give rewards to users that will post questions? Like $0.05 per question posted or maybe higher?

I don't know how much income you'll actually be able to get from it, but you could check out Lunyr.com -- it's a site where you can write nice articles and get paid in cryptocurrency.

I have -- it's ok. There is a huge amount of plagiarism, so that's fairly discouraging. You also have to pay to post articles because they do the whole thing with Ethereum smart contracts. It can be fairly expensive.

Any dAPP built on top of this block chain will work. Steem token is probably the only crypto currency with a real use case that actually works today. Other than that, you can try staking coins such as ECA or any other POS coin to get some extra income. Setting up a master node can also be a lucrative business.

A good guy is genuine in all that he does, doesn't look for fame, and makes his intentions known.

A nice guy does things just to get noticed and is all "look at me! Look at how virtuous I am" and gets ignored and walked all over.

How do you know your beliefs are true?
You know how quickly beliefs about certain things can change. (Once people were convinced that the Earth is flat.) You may have once firmly believed in something, but eventually discovered the true nature of things, and realized that you were wrong. How can you be so sure that your current beliefs are true?

I used to have blind faith and used to believe many things without questioning much. Even, when I questioned myself, it was difficult to find answers. I would not have known the reason for my believe, I just believed it. Later on as I read more and has more access to more information, I realized that there are more to it than my blind faith. So now, I don't believe in the things I used to believe in. I am more liberal now. I know that my beliefs are true when I have peace of mind concerning the particular belief.

The villains consider themselves heroes?
In most movies, villains are portrayed as truly evil. There are only a few films that explore the underlying motives of the antagonist's behavior. The same is true for reality. While there are scary psychopaths who do evil things without a valid reason, it's also possible that there are people who do evil because they believe it's the right thing to do. This is a suggestive question: are there any such evil people who really believe they are heroes?

@holovision | June 4, 2018, 12:12 p.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

Evil is too subjective. Is killing someone evil? Every war has soldiers who think what they are doing is heroic and that the other guy they are fighting is evil and deserves to die because of their evil.

My freedom is always at stake.

Every day the cells of the body die and are replaced by others. This normal process occurs throughout our lives. Curiously, white blood cells have an incredibly long lifespan-over a year. This means that all cells in the body are replaced after a little over a year. Other cells live much less, some are even replaced within an hour. Are you still the same person you were a few years ago, even though every cell in your body has been replaced?

That I'm not awake and doing something productive.

I'm one of the lucky ones, I only need around 4 hours of sleep to feel great. I've been that way since I was a kid. I regret that I sleep that much, I can push it down to 2 or 3 hours for a week or so, but it usually catches up and I will sleep for 7 or 8 hours. Then feel horrible for sleeping that much.

Most of the extra time I either work or educate myself with that extra time. I enjoy my work so pu1lling 10 to 16 hours in a day doing stuff you love is awesome.

Think of it this way, I'm 42, if the average 42 year old sleeps 8 hours a day they have been asleep for 14 years...... If I only sleep 4 hours, I have 7 more years of life experiences and time for learning..... Which is an advantage, and I will take all the advantages I can get.

What is sin?

@howiemac | Nov. 13, 2018, 10:08 a.m. | Votes: 0 | [ VOTE ]

Sin is vice or viciousness - the absence of virtue.

Virtues include love (real selfless universal love), peace, joy, humility, compassion, honesty and so on - there are many other virtues, and they are all characterised by selflessness, unity, and freedom. Virtues are qualities of the soul, and they are innately natural to us.

Sin is the inverse of these sorts of qualities, such as hate, violence, greed, arrogance, cold-heartedness, deceit - there are many more sins also, and they are characterised by selfishness, manipulation, and restriction. Sin is alien to the soul (albeit natural to our animal bodies), and an accumulation of sin blocks out the natural virtues of the soul.

Virtue elevates us and makes us more happy and contented, loving and caring, peaceful and harmonious. Virtue attracts virtue. Being virtuous attracts more virtue to us.

Sin, on the other hand, debases us. Sin is self-destructive and masochistic, and makes us fearful and miserable, cold and ruthless, hard and vicious. Sin attracts sin. Over time, we become lost and tormented souls.

In these times, the human race is increasingly dominated by sin, especially by those who seek to dominate us. Capitalism promotes and rewards sin. Our political systems promote and reward sin. Our cultural systems increasingly celebrate sin. All of this can only end in self-destruction, misery, and pain - and we can see that happening now all around us. The solution is in our own hands: renounce our sins and embrace our virtues.

Sin is literally self abuse, as every reaction produces a counter reaction from the cosmos. We get what we give. There are always consequences of the same nature and in direct proportion to the viciousness that we perpetrate. This is natural cosmic justice, and it operates immaculately whether we believe in it or not.

Who decided that Sunday was a Sabbath?

@holovision | Aug. 14, 2018, 1:40 a.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

Sunday for most Christian-based faiths was established through history rather than scripture. There is nothing in the New Testament to designate sunday as the sabbath.  When Emperor Constantine I came to power he legalized Christianity and made the first Sunday keeping law in the year 321. Constantine's Sunday enforcement law was officially confirmed by the Council of Laodicea in the year 364. The later adoption of the Gregorian calandar later helped to cement sunday as the sabbath.

What is love?

@timliwanag | May 23, 2018, 4:38 p.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

LOVE is the greatest conduct and the utmost good action; not an intense emotion merely based on how we feel. When love exists in a person’s consciousness, there resides a good conscience and good emotion. Love knows happiness and joy; initiates patience and courage; gives hope and serenity.

Love is charity – a love that is decisive and committed to giving without demanding something in return; a love that is inclusive, free, unselfish and generous. When one’s own life is laid down for someone, it is the ultimate act of love, the noblest deed of charity. Love in its good work is neither boastful nor conceited.

Love is truthful. Love never lies. Love never thinks sinful things. Love is never evil.

Love— yes, that one never fails!

How does one know that he/she is in love?

@timliwanag | May 23, 2018, 4:42 p.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

If a person thinks that he or she is having an attraction toward another person, it is first a perception of natural senses. Obviously, you are becoming aware of such qualities as beauty and pleasant appearance. You can feel pleasure, delight, and joy when the person you desire is near you. You are very much conscious of your words and behavior when you’re together. Later on, your desire is progressively turning into a quest. You are discovering an individual’s hangouts, daily activities, intrinsic likes and dislikes. You’re starting to meet his or her friends. Eventually, you’re going to meet the whole family and spend time with them. But, how do you really know that it’s love?

Well, being in love is comparable to believing in love. I think one of the strongest evidences that you love someone is in your very own understanding of love and the manner in which you express it verbally or behaviorally. You say honest and wonderful things to your beloved. You do good and noble things for him or her. And you’re also adding to your concept of love other virtues like trust, faithfulness, patience, integrity, and hope. For if those desirable qualities be in you, and grow, you are truly in love.

How do you know if you're in love?

@timliwanag | May 23, 2018, 4:47 p.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

You have found true love when you have partaken in the giving of love without asking anything in return. Your love in that manner will not be confined to emotion and feelings but to charity.

Charity is true love; a love that is given freely. A love committed to do every act of goodness to others. Just like loving someone even if you do not necessarily like the person or do not know them. To love the unlovely is indeed true love.

You have true love when you have known the ultimate act of love – the laying down of one’s life for someone.

@chrisrice | June 9, 2018, 12:02 p.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

I think the feelings associated with being "in love" are simple. It involves emotional high's and a good level of admiration or infatuation for that person.

So if you want to know if you're in love?
- Just ask yourself if you feel emotional highs and a good level of admiration or infatuation for that person.

But I don't think being "in love" is an indicator that the relationship will last or in some cases even start. It's better to base a relationship on personal character and a desire for it to last than to be based on something as fleeting as emotions.

Good luck!

I saw a movie where a boy waited at the hospital for the girl he loves while she was really sick and unconscious. She was almost diagnosed with psychiatric problem but he did not believe the doctors. He stayed there everyday. Eventually she recovered. Its a long story. That's true love. If it was not true love, he would have left. Why bother.

Which one word describes your life?

@timliwanag | May 23, 2018, 5:10 p.m. | Votes: 2 | [ VOTE ]

Resilience! It enables me to adjust to sudden changes and adverse conditions.

Quote from Psychology.com:
“Resilience is that ineffable quality that allows some people to be knocked down by life and come back stronger than ever. Rather than letting failure overcome them and drain their resolve, they find a way to rise from the ashes. Psychologists have identified some of the factors that make someone resilient, among them a positive attitude, optimism, the ability to regulate emotions, and the ability to see failure as a form of helpful feedback. Even after misfortune, resilient people are blessed with such an outlook that they are able to change course and soldier on.”

@korpo | May 24, 2018, 8:39 a.m. | Votes: 0 | [ VOTE ]

The main thing with Steem is that it will be supplied infinite. So demand should be higher than supply by then. I think after a while value starts to decrease but in a few years maybe around 10 or so.

10 years is really too far down the road to give even any sort of guess. Crypto currency isn't even 10 years old. I would like to think that Steem will be a leader in the social/crypto game but there are just too many unknowns for me to guess. well .... inflation ... classic economy lol ... supply and demand ... new systems .. there is no telling really ... id say if it becomes the new facebook it might hold a decent value since advertisers would have to buy steem ... bit otherwise i dont think its possible to put a tag on it, the current downfall has to do with very few people on very few accounts dumping large amounts, it could be steemwhales trying to regulate the price as SBD was supposed to be $1 ... (dont ask me why) it could be EOS or TRON or any chinese or korean whale trying to dump it to gain market space ... no idea ... sbd is back to one, which i clearly notice as my account value and vote is zip now and steem i down i dont know the point would be the big whales trying to figure out ways to get investors instead of acting all enlightened content nazi

the obvious question here is :

  • would you accept co-operation with government or banks

  • would you accept advertising as a means of income for steemit to keep the price up

and all those other things people seem to ignore which are the things that make google and facebook what they are : RICH motherffffffffffffffff

As technopathy gets refine closer and closer to biology in cybernetics, we're going to achiever telepathy, I feel that the answer is one and the same, just to the level of advancement

I know many do not believe in telepathy, but there have been rare occurrence of recorded of partially telepathy, I believe someday if we continue to nurture technopathy (like our current crude mobile phone device plugin into our ears via bluetooth), we will approach what would look like magic in the next few decades

I vote we continue with our current path of technopathy

QRZ like all other Q codes are used internationally in the amateur radio community.

What makes people angry?
What makes people do evil? This is something that comes from within? Or could it be a potential influence of external circumstances? Do you consider yourself evil? Do you want to hurt someone in your thoughts? Or do you do evil without implying it?

@coinsandchains | May 24, 2018, 6:38 a.m. | Votes: 1 | [ VOTE ]

That's more than one question....
What makes people angry is themselves. It is a choice to let someone affect you and get angry.
Doing evil is an action and not the same thing as anger. A lot of people blame external things for the evil they do. I guess I'm a little different I think people are responsible for their actions and reactions to external influences. That's part of what's wrong with our society, no one want's to take responsibility for their faults and failures. I screw up and fail at something every day. Actually, I think if you are not making mistakes of some kind, you are not working, learning or trying hard enough.

Love — is it really your choice?
We used to think that love is something special, peculiar only to people, but scientists explain love because of chemical processes in the body. In animals during the mating period produced the same hormones as that of people in love. Now, think — do you love because you want to love, or because nature intended it? If the hormones of love stop being produced by the body, does that mean you won't be able to love?

@steemapple | May 24, 2018, 3:26 p.m. | Votes: 1 | [ VOTE ]

You can choose to love. So, ya, i think it is your choice.

@clothing-id | Sept. 4, 2018, 6:49 a.m. | Votes: 1 | [ VOTE ]

Humans think love is a sense that is difficult to understand. However, this contrasts with the opinion of a scientist who says that love is only a series of chemical events. According to Larry Young, professor of neuroscience at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, love can be explained by a series of neurochemical events in certain parts of the brain. If this opinion is true, then people don't need to rely on chocolate or oysters to arouse feelings of love. In fact, people can create aphrodisiacs that make someone fall in love at first sight or antidote for unrequited love because they love someone who shouldn't.

Scientists have previously observed that a chemical called oxytocin is involved in the development of bonds between mother and child in animals. Prof. Young believes, things that happen to animals also occur in humans. "It's just that when we experience these emotions, we can't imagine that it's just a series of chemical events," he said. Researchers have found that oxytocin is involved in male and female bonds, forming a strong bond with each other for a very long time. And there are studies in humans that show increased oxytocin can create the ability to read other people's emotions.

Prof. Young believes, there are still other chemicals involved. "I'm sure this is just the beginning. There are hundreds of molecular signals in the brain and all act in different brain regions, one day we will have a better understanding of how all these chemicals interact and act in certain brain regions that have specific functions that give rise to complex emotions. " Another scientist, Professor Nick Bostrom as Director of Oxford University Future of Humanity Institute said, we do not have to think perspective to fully understand what love is. There are evolutionary, sociological, phenomenological (philosophical approaches and qualitative research methods) and humanistic perspectives that offer important insights.

Should abortion be legal?
Tomorrow Ireland votes on whether or not to repeal the 8th amendment to the constitution, which if passed would lift the fundamental legal prohibition on abortion.

I am in favour of repealing it. I do not judge a foetus to be a human being. I recognise that it is the potential of a human and very unique in that sense, but possibilities remain intangible until such time as they become actual. I would not insist for example that a couple should not stop having sex as to do so would abort the potential child they would have together.

I always try to keep an open mind. Please give me your opinion, should abortion be legal, and either add to my conviction or substract from it. I will be voting tomorrow so now is your chance.

@biophil-sc | May 24, 2018, 5:46 p.m. | Votes: 1 | [ VOTE ]

I would recommend not tagging the OP. What purpose would it serve? If they're getting notifications for mentions and for replies, the tag will just annoy them with two simultaneous notifications. If they're not getting notifications, the tag doesn't do anything at all. My approach is to try to make my comments as well-written and thoughtful as possible, and try to get noticed that way.

Why are human beings so easily manipulated?

Reason is just greed.

@maverickfoo | May 25, 2018, 1:09 a.m. | Votes: 3 | [ VOTE ]

Human beings are motivated either by pain of pleasure. Simulate enough of both, and you will be able to manipulate/motivate someone.

To be able to manipulate/motivate someone better, get into the details of their pain and pleasure. The more precise the hot buttons you pressed, the more likely you'll be able to manipulate the person.

@ballislife | May 25, 2018, 7:03 a.m. | Votes: 0 | [ VOTE ]

Humans are generally trusting creatures, from the day we were born we learned to live by putting our trust to people who take care of us. Unknowingly a baby learns how to survive depending on who they are with and with that in mind people grow up.

Whether a human was pampered or not you can still manipulate them, its just the effort it takes to gain their confidence in you which is hard but by gaining their trust and after that you can basically have them do anything depending on how deep your connection with them is.

@modern-trojan | May 25, 2018, 11:57 a.m. | Votes: 1 | [ VOTE ]

We are so easily manipulated because we generally lack the ability of critical thinking. We blindly accept facts that others teach us in schools, workplaces, at homes, etc... Many of us never ask ourselves if the words, facts or anything that other present to us is true. We are easily manipulated because we don't think, or we don't want to think.

@simply-me | May 24, 2018, 11:11 p.m. | Votes: 1 | [ VOTE ]

Religion is man made and heaven is a place on earth.. Or is heaven even a place? Heaven is an idea. Your heaven is different from my heaven. The idea of heaven is to motivate us to do good. But even without that idea, doing good is always uplifting.. Once you do good, you realize how good it feels and you would want to do more. It's nothing to do with religion.

@musing | May 24, 2018, 7:29 p.m. | Votes: 0 | [ VOTE ]

We just launched, so give it some time. Thank you for contributing, we know there aren't many rewards going out right now. One reason for this is because we just switched over to creating answers/questions as comments instead of blog posts, so there are less people seeing the posts unless you go directly to Musing.io. To fix this, we will also enable you to post answers as blog posts if you like, which should generate much more rewards.

The other reason is that since we're so new, there aren't enough users with lots of Steem Power yet. We will work towards receiving a large enough Steem delegation to provide the right incentives to our users, which will definitely help fix this.

My vacation destination is only and only Canada and united States of America because I like to study in Canada in for master course and also the weather is too much cold and also it has humis climate.we cannot see a sun sometimes due to the climate.

Everyone has its own destination to visit that place,my place is totally different from others because I lrefferef to have to visit Canada for my study purpose only.

My most preferly vacation destination is only America rather then study I like to go and watch Nigeria falls and the the people of America with lots of busy people in their life.I like to live America for my whole life with my family and enjoy 1 state in 1 year with relax so for that I am hoping I will get a lottery to visit full country US.

Sure I do. When I go places, I take some back home with me. I like those that has a lot of Zeros on it like the Vietnam Dong & the Indonesian Rupiah, so I can claim that I am an instant millionaire. LOL

I started doing that recently. I try to collect some currency of the countries I visit. Just for fun and because I feel it's a piece of history.

It depends on what your goals and expectations are but I'd say it's a good time to buy some. Or even better to earn them via Steem ecosystem.
