And what if, with the blessing of this iconic band, we make a few slight changes and instead of Jude we say June? šŸ˜ And what if, instead of take a sad songā€¦ we say take a sad day and make it better?

Then, "Remember to let her into your heart" obviously speaks about the bicycle. šŸ˜†

Itā€™s not madness, itā€™s just that I wanted to come and celebrate one day late, on 3rd June, World Bicycle Day, because here, as far as I know, nobody mentioned it. And how can that possibly happen here, folks?????

LOL.

Who would disagree with me that the bike turns a bad day into a good memory, and that when you let the bicycle be part of your life, it doesnā€™t just move you from one place to another, it heals you, connects you, and brings back joyā€¦ (unless you have a fatal accident šŸ¤£ - touch wood).

Back to the song: "Donā€™t be afraid"

Getting on the bike means, above all, conquering fear: fear of traffic, of the steep climb, of a fall, or of a downhill where the bike races faster than expected and adrenaline surges ā€” because the brakes could fail, for example. Itā€™s also the fear of being stranded in the middle of nowhere due to a breakdown, unsure how to fix it to keep going. So many fears we overcome, donā€™t we?

Well, thatā€™s almost all for today. Tomorrow Iā€™ll head to this place to carry out a noble task, in commemoration of another special day: World Environment Day, which should be every day.

Iā€™ll be helping with the collection of rubbish at Playita Habana, down in the little coastal village I often visit, Baracoa.

So, here we go again with the song theme šŸ˜šŸŽ¶.

I donā€™t know if youā€™re aware of how many stories are woven around this song composed by Paul McCartney in 1968. Some say he wrote it to comfort Julian Lennon (Johnā€™s son) after his parentsā€™ divorce, and that he changed Jules to Jude because it sounded better. Lennon said it might have been dedicated to him. Others claim it could have been linked to Paulā€™s break-up with Jane Asher and the beginning of another relationship. A journalist thought it was written for herā€¦ and others see it as a hymn without a single recipient.

Na na na nananana, nannana, hey Juneā€¦ bearing in mind all the stories surrounding the meaning of this song, what does it matter if we make it ours here as the cyclistsā€™ song of the month of Juneā€¦ what do you think? šŸ¤£

I think that, here in The Netherlands, every day is cycling day, so there is not much attention for it.

I had no idea there was such a thing as National Bicycle Day!!!! Well, happy National Bicycle Day!!! And the song... it doesn't matter who it was written for, it's so meaningful that it applies to so many situations... it's lovely!!! Any recommendations? That song reminded me of one of my favourites that's related to it.
