Walking through the garden among the beautiful irises... My mother's favorite flowers. They're really very pretty. Some are fragrant and some are odorless.

But my God, how short-lived they are! Their lifespan is short and they fade very quickly. You can't cut them into a bouquet.

I remember from my childhood how we had them growing up. But they were common - purple and yellow. And now there are all kinds of colors of irises!
