저번 주 주말 열심히 일궈 둔 땅에 작물을 심으려고 모종을 사왔다.

옥수수 한 판, 딸기 10주, 고추 종류별로 12주, 파프리카 4주, 오이 2주, 애호박 2주, 양배추 10주, 로메인 10주, 서비스로 받은 케일 5주.

모종상에 물어보니 옥수수는 2주씩 같이 심어주는게 좋다고 하길래 옥수수 심는 방법 딱 한번 보여주고 죽이 되든 밥이 되든 알아서 심어 보라며 아이들한테 넘겨줬다..

아이들이 옥수수 심는 동안 반쪽이와 나는 지지대를 박고 노끈으로 묶었다.

딸기와 양배추, 고추 등등 열심히 심고 보니 많을 줄만 알았던 모종이 마련해둔 땅에 반도 안차고 떨어졌다.

제법 구색이 갖춰진 느낌이라 뿌듯하다. 비어있는 자리에는 모종 어떤 걸 더 사다 심어야 할 까...?

흙을 밟고 산다는 게 정말 좋은 것 같아요.
마당에서 축구도 하고 배드민턴도 치고
직접 화단도 가꾸고 채소 과일도 심어보고 따서 먹어도 보고.
길지 않은 전원생활이지만 정말 만족하고 있어요~
