I stand here in the shadows of my past,
My childhood filled with pain, my future uncertain,
My heart aching for a life that could have been.

I feel the weight of my trauma,
The memories of abuse that I can’t erase,
The fear and pain that linger like a cloud over my head.

I know I must keep moving forward,
Though I fear I may never be free,
I must find a way to put the past behind me.

I must find the courage to face my demons,
To confront the darkness and the pain,
To accept that it was not my fault and that I cannot change what happened.

I must learn to forgive,
To accept that I cannot control the past,
And to find a way to heal my broken heart.

I must find a way to move on,
To find a way to be free,
To find a way to live a life without fear and pain.

I must learn to trust again,
To open my heart to love and joy,
To find a way to live in the present and let go of the past.

I must find a way to cope,
To find the strength to keep going,
To find a way to manage my PTSD and live a life of peace.

I must remember that I am strong,
That I have the power to make my own choices,
And that I can create a new life for myself, full of hope and love.
