I remember that day as a cold and grey morning. But this encouter made my day. I was driving my car down a very small road @ one of my favorite places where i enjoy nature and silence.

Nothing special in sight... so it was time to come back home. When driving back down that road i something big in fly by next to my window. Wow. A short eared owl. I saw something that looked like prey into those talons.

I remember beïng super excited and did hope the owl chose a perch really close by. I already made images from a perched SEO, but never with prey before....... I really like the way this owl is posing and holding the vole with it's talons. The colour surroundings do look somewhat cold as it was that day. :)
