We are all familiar with the saying:
"Can't see the forest for the trees"
("to be unable to get a general understanding of a situation because you are too worried about the details")https://dictionary.cambridge.org

But I can't think of any saying for its opposite. Can't see an individual tree for the forest. Can't see the fruit for the tree. Monkey mind. (Or worse, can't see the beauty of an individual fruit for the incessant distraction of your growling hungry stomach, LoL)

In the mad rush of our busy lives
How do you decide what it is important to focus on?

And can you think of a saying that covers
"Can't see the tree for the forest"?

Haha, really? Being a collage artist I often use wordplay in my titles, kind of word collage.😊 I will consider a career in the saying business if everything goes wrong, thank you😊

Yes, right on! Sometimes the brain goes for complicated and difficult issues and forgets the simple thing like breathing!
Just watch the breathing and pay attention to fleeting thoughts, seeing them arising and falling away, while getting on with the chores!
Very nice feeling. No wasting of energy.
Thanks a lot!
