One of the best things about being forced to stay at home the past two months has been the opportunity to slow down and live life at a less American pace.
Baking with my children has been a great experience. For all the funny jokes parents are making about being driven a little nutty by their kids (the struggle is real), there is no substitute for these memories we're making right now.
Last night, we put together a Genoise sponge cake. We're big fans of the British Baking Show, so making one of these and topping it with chocolate ganache was a lot of fun. Here are the pictures!

The ganache was 50% heavy whipping cream, 50% semi-sweet chocolate (56% sweet).

Not bad for a first attempt! Duck Duck Go is a pretty good recipe finder.
