It's been a good year so far and as it comes to an end today, I present to you all the last battle battle-mage secrets of the year 2023. For my viewers, readers, and supporters, I thank you all and hope that we continue the great work come 2024. The 2023 battle mage secrets comes to an end with the "Aimless ruleset as the theme. Here is the announcement post. Those who wish to participate, do well to visit it and get acquainted with the guidelines as stipulated. As I begin the discussion of today, I say a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to you all.
Ruleset; Aimless

The Aimless ruleset gives all monsters on the battlefield the scattered shot ability. With this ability, ranged and magic monsters can target any team member of the opposition irrespective of their ability. This means that no ability is exempted from being attacked and this includes the camouflage ability. Melee monsters on the other although gain the scattered shot ability, still battle using their abilities. This is to say that a melee monster with the sneak ability does not neglect its ability for the scattered shot and this is also the same with the opportunity ability and others.
There are three ways in which scattered shot ability is gained in the spl game. The most conventional are the monsters with it as their inbuilt ability. The other two ways are through the ruleset and stat from the summoner. Battling with scattered can be both good and bad at the same time. For the fact that they attack randomly, they can target and take out their biggest threat on the opposite side, at the same time, due to their random target system, the opponent with a particular area of focused attack can easily take them down.
Strategic team selection and positioning
These are the ways my team was selected and the reason behind their selection. Do note that the selection was not only based on the aimless ruleset but also put into consideration the other that accompanied it.

CONQUEROR JACEK
The first choice was that of a summoner which Conqueror Jacek was selected. This summoner gives three key advantages. They are speed, the ability to pierce, and scattered shot attack. In this battle where both teams had scattered shots, the advantage was mainly speed and piercing. Giving teammates two speeds in addition with piercing made this summoner my best choice for this battle.

GRUM FLAMEBLADE
The choice of Grum as the defender was based on four things. The large number of health, the large of melee weapons, the bloodlust ability, and the number of the armor. Also with the piercing offered to the monsters by the summoner, this high number of weapons can cut through armor and affect the health of their targets.

VENARI MARKSRAT
This monster wasn't selected on the grounds of attack because it doesn't seem to have threatening weapons but its ability made is a choice for the battle. The Martyr ability this monster has can boost the stat of its nearby teammates upon its death and this is the sole reason it made the team.

MORDEUS
This is another monster selected on the grounds of a high weapon. owning six melee weapons and good speed, this monster can almost take out its target with just s single strike. It is known for eliminating opponents because its large melee weapon is used on the weakest link on the opposition team through its opportunity ability.

URAEUS
This monster is not so much a threat judging by weapon but its speed is okay and its ability gives another angle of attack. Using its sneak ability, it attacked from the back, making it easy for the opportunity monster to finish the job.

SCORCH FIEND
A bonus zero mana monster. Although not able to attack from the position it got, it can delay an attack on the battling monsters by taking a hit that could have gone to them.
