🦉 The pine bunting (Emberiza leucocephalos)

I've only encountered this species of bunting twice. Both times, in the same place. It was a small, mixed forest near the shoreline. And judging by the encyclopedia descriptions, the bird in the photo is a male.

It’s funny that apparently mating season takes place in these places, because later, when I visited these places again, I did not find these birds.
