I decided to show a collection of sandpipers that I met.

Ruff
I encounter small groups of these birds in mid-September on the river that runs alongside my city. They always stop here to rest during their migration.

Green sandpiper
This is interesting. Because I come across these sandpipers not only in the lake near the river, but even in the forest near the swamp.

Common sandpiper
Well, this is probably the most popular and numerous of the sandpipers.

Wood sandpiper
I most often spot this bird near large rivers, especially at river crossings with pebbly banks.

Little stint
This is a very small sandpiper, and it's not called the "Sandpiper-sparrow" for nothing. I only saw it once, at the end of September, very far outside the city along the river.

Little Ringed Plover
Another little friend, about the size of a sparrow. It's funny to watch him run along the shore for a bit, then stop to look around, then take another short run.

Spotted redshank
I found a group of these guys in the middle of a lake in a pine forest. They were resting from a long flight, standing in the cold water. It was late September.
