Una combinación perfecta para el día a día.

And although, to be honest, I wanted to spend the whole day in bed watching K-dramas, I had to get on with a few things at home. Among the things I made today is this super simple but very pretty bracelet with a heart charm and a chunky link chain. A perfect combination for everyday wear.

Creo que este ha sido uno de los accesorios más sencillos y rápidos que he realizado, y de hecho estuve dudando un poco en compartirlo, ya que la verdad escasamente tiene tres o cuatro pasos, pero es que me gustó tanto que no podía dejar de mostrarles lo que se puede hacer con tan pocos materiales y en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, así que aquí estamos.

Como pueden ver son poquísimos los materiales que vamos a necesitar para la elaboración de este Brazalete con dije de corazón, ya que solo necesitamos un dije, un alfiler de ojo y cadena, y para comenzar vamos a trabajar con nuestra pieza central que es el dije de corazón, y para armarla lo que haremos será pasar el dije por el alfiler, cortar el excedente y cerrar creando un "ojito" en el otro extremo del alfiler.
Para hacer esto, colocamos la pinza redonda en la punta del alfiler y giramos sobre sí misma hacia adentro, creando de esta forma el otro arito.
As you can see, we’ll need very few materials to make this heart charm bracelet, as all we need is a charm, an eye pin and some chain. To begin, we’ll start with our centrepiece—the heart charm—and to assemble it, we’ll thread the charm onto the pin, cut off the excess and close it to create a "little loop" at the other end of the pin.

El siguiente paso es cortar la cadena para nuestra pulsera, y en este caso decidí cambiar la cadena fina que había estado utilizando últimamente por una más llamativa, pero también delicada, ya que tiene eslabones alargados otorgándole un gran impacto visual a la pulsera.
Y como siempre les digo, el largo de las cadenas dependerá de cuán larga deseen su pulsera, esto si es para uso personal, porque para la venta hay medidas estándar, así que atentos con eso.
The next step is to cut the chain for our bracelet, and in this case I decided to swap the thin chain I’d been using recently for a more eye-catching one, though still delicate, as it has elongated links that give the bracelet a striking visual impact.
And as I always say, the length of the chains will depend on how long you want your bracelet to be – that is, if it’s for personal use, because for sale there are standard sizes, so bear that in mind.

En este punto debemos conectar las dos piezas de cadena a nuestro dije de corazón, y para esto lo que haremos será abrir un poco cada extremo del alfiler de ojo con ayuda de la pinza redonda para hacer pasar la cadena.
Seguidamente cerramos con ayuda de la pinza plana y nos aseguramos de cerrar muy bien.

En este punto sólo nos resta incorporar las piezas necesarias para cerrar la pulsera, y en este caso, como pueden ver decidí usar un cerrador en forma de gancho, porque visualmente le da continuidad y armonía al brazalete, y para conectarlo, simplemente abrimos el arito del gancho con la pinza redonda, hacemos pasar una de las cadenas y cerramos con la pinza plana.
Como ven, no utilicé argollas en el otro extremo del brazalete, justamente para mantener la armonía de nuestro accesorio, así que en este caso cerramos sujetando el gancho directamente en el otro extremo de la cadena, y de esta forma tenemos listo nuestro lindo Brazalete con dije de corazón .
At this point, all that remains is to add the necessary components to fasten the bracelet. In this case, as you can see, I decided to use a hook clasp, as it gives the bracelet a sense of visual continuity and harmony. To attach it, simply open the loop of the hook with the round-nose pliers, thread one of the chains through, and close it with the flat-nose pliers.
As you can see, I didn’t use jump rings at the other end of the bracelet, precisely to maintain the harmony of our accessory, so in this case we fasten it by attaching the hook directly to the other end of the chain, and in this way our lovely Heart Charm Bracelet is ready.
