funny, I didn’t choose to do this on September 11th. Honestly, to me September 11 will always just be my sister’s birthday…yes I said Happy Birthday to her ;)

These lyrics have been crumpling up in my backpack since I printed and prepped them like a month ago…today was just the day so finally got the chance to try playing it, pure chance…but because it seems to potentially apply, I’m tagging the vets I know on here, and repping Hawk Troop 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Division, 3rd Brigade Combat Team myself.

Also, this song has been posted in the Acoustic Lounge community. It’s a free-range, no rules/anything goes music club, post any music any time, whether practice or performance - or even questions/help requests etc. Shit, if you wanna sell your Fender Bassman or your Line 6 pedal board - post it, no one’s gonna say shit…unless you get a nibble that is ;)

I was going to suggest you should enter the vibes contest but you definitely have to do an intro for that so they know it's new just for the contest :p prizes are good though

I’m not against it or anything, I just a lot of times tended to go out into the woods or some cool filming location and record 3-4 songs - and keeping track of all the intros and tags and whatever seemed like too much when all I wanted to do is share some music…however I’ve been less aggressive about getting new songs up this year (100+ songs in the summer of 2023, 4-5 songs in the summer of 2024), so I’m probably in a good place to slow down and start participating in some of the fun contests and stuff around here! I found the hive open mic intros in particular to be difficult, it was like memorizing and performing a tongue twister before playing my song lol - which is fine occasionally; I just created the acoustic lounge for those other times when you just wanna casually drop a tune or whatever.

I’ll definitely check out the Vibes contest though, it sounds like fun!

For vibes they switch between a round with a theme and a round without a theme, but even on the themed rounds you can enter anything you just have less chance to win I guess. I enter for fun with no expectation of winning anyways 🤷‍♀
