On my most recent visit to Güirintal Beach, located off Marigüitar Road, I not only enjoyed the scenery in all its splendor, but I also had the chance to explore the area while observing its marine biodiversity. A strong breeze accompanied the waves, and you could see the white foam from the shore. It was gratifying to feel the sun’s rays in the early morning hours and be transported back to memories of my childhood.
The sky was particularly blue, adorned with billowing clouds. From time to time, seagulls and shearwaters would appear on the scene in search of fish to catch. So I was able to watch them in action as they dove from above—a scene that is part of the natural cycle of marine life.
Life on the beach is peaceful, and the locals are friendly. I paid special attention to the rock formations, and I also noticed a large amount of seaweed at one end of the beach—ranging from the green varieties, which are usually the most common, to some reddish, rather sticky ones that darkened the water.
Some crabs scurried quickly over the rocks, appearing and disappearing as if by magic. A curious dark brown sea hare was the star of the day; there it was, with its gelatinous body, trying to hide. Although its appearance is far from pleasant, it is a species that is harmless to humans.
This is a quintessential tourist beach; the views are spectacular, and it’s well worth the trip to enjoy this idyllic spot. Paying attention to small details offers a different perspective on a place, even if you’ve visited it before. What I enjoy most is the tranquility; during the time I spent here, there was a sense of peace—no loud music, no street vendors, no alcohol sales, and no other disturbances.
I believe that this communion with nature is an essential part of life; only after spending a good while enjoying the majesty of the sea did I set out to capture images to remember this moment. Our dependence on technology is often a barrier that prevents us from appreciating beauty with all our senses.

En mi más reciente visita a la playa Güirintal, ubicada vía Marigüitar, no solo disfruté del paisaje en todo su esplendor, también pude realizar una exploración del lugar prestando atención a la diversidad marina. Esta es una playa turística por excelencia, las imágenes son espectaculares y bien vale la pena el viaje para disfrutar de este paradisíaco lugar. Prestar atención a pequeños detalles concede una mirada distinta de un lugar, así lo haya visitado antes. Lo que más disfruto es la tranquilidad, durante las horas que estuve aquí se respiró paz, no había música a alto volumen ni vendedores ambulantes, tampoco venta de bebidas alcohólicas u otro tipo de perturbación.
Considero que esta comunión con la naturaleza es parte esencial de la vida, solamente después de disfrutar un buen rato de la majestuosidad del mar me dispuse a capturar imágenes para recordar este momento. La dependencia de la tecnología muchas veces es una barrera que impide apreciar la belleza con todos los sentidos.
