Hello everyone.
After 6 round we were finally all together during Friday Hivechess Tournament. More players in the tournaments means more games of chess plaed.
Winner of round 7 was @eniolw (eniolw). Second place goes to @fcastro177 (FCastro17) with @southgamer (SouthGamer) finishing third. Congratulations to all.
I finished 6th in this round. Win in the last seconds in berserk mode to make nice jump in the standings.

More chess, more fun

Playing fast chess means more games played but quality play is not what you my find. It works for me as more games mean more fun and funny enough it most time looks good on standings.
This round I managed to play 19 games total which was most this round. Win percentage was only 37% but it was good enough for 6th place. In top 10 8 players had win rate of 50% or more. In conclusion more games with less win rate was more productive - worth noting is that I berserked 6 games and won 4 of them.
Also round 2 and round 6 I had most games played while in first round I was tied for first.
Slowing down game play and improving can be one direction to go but for now playing fast is fun.

Overall standings

Standings in both groups are close. In masters section 4 players are within 6 points from second to forth place.
In Challengers group almost same as top 4 players are within 5 points.
Competitive three round to go.

Some games from the Round 7

Playing fast and making blunders.
My game against @vasigo (vasigo).
This was position before the wrong move. I did not pay attention to the back rank. Went for a pawn grab on b2. Which was a very good move for my opponent.

@vasigo saw it and it was game over. Good game.

The next game was last game of the tournament against @stranger27 (stranger27).
Both of us berserked as there was a bit more than 2 minutes to the end of the tournament.
Fast forward to this position. Here @stranger27 (stranger27) has 5.3 seconds left and tournament ends in 6 or 7 seconds. So I had to play fast in order to flag and get win in time.

I went for a several sacrifices to try to use as much his time as possible.
First was bishop takes f5 check.

Next one was Rock to g7 check. More free pieces.

Last move was Queen to e7 check where my opponent run out of time and this win counted and boosted my spot in the standings.
It was exciting game especially in the end.

I did similar thing back in high school days during tournament. Game was played over the board and my opponent did not pay much attention to the clock. When he was low on time (several seconds if I remember correctly) I just made fast moves that forced him to take my pieces and he run out of time.

Clock is part of the game. Sometimes winning in losing position is good but not that much if you are on receiving end.
What do you think about these type of chess positions and endgames?
