We had a black out yesterday and so it was a night with candles. The young adolescent boy in me was enjoying playing with the candles and creating a beautiful atmosphere.

But that was sadly cut short by my curiosity and creativity..... as well as a measure of boredom.

So my experiment went like this, I got one of those foil types of disposable trays and I melted lots of candles into it. I placed in the centre of the tray a paper bowl and filled it with wax to the top.
I made sure the bowls edge was higher than the wax in the tray just slightly and this fine paper edge became the circular wick and it burned for hours inside without doing any damage.

It was like having a Minnie camp fire on the coffee table, I better patent this original design. Ha ha ha
