استماع العلم النافع في الآخرة أفضل من الإشتغال بالنوافل, فقد روى أبو ذر: أن خضور مجلس علم أفضل من صلاة ألف ركعة ... وقد سمى الله تعالى العلم فضلا في مواضع ... فتعليم العلم في هذا اليوم وتعلمه من أفضل القربات. # إحياء_علوم_الدين ١ / ٦٨٦-٦٨٧

Listening to useful knowledge about the hereafter is more important than busiing oneself with the sunnah prayer. Abu Dhar narrated: "Attending the assembly of science is more important than praying a thousand rak'ahs." In a number of verses of the Koran, Allah named science with "virtue". So teaching and learning science is the most important worship today.
