Lange habe ich überlegt, ob ich das öffentlich machen soll und ganz ehrlich: Scheiß drauf. Die Menschen, die mich näher kennen, wissen es eh. Vor genau 15 Jahren bekam ich ein neues, schmerzfreies Leben. Vor genau 15 Jahren wurde ich am Darm nach einem Durchbruch operiert und bin ohne künstlichen Ausgang wieder aufgewacht. Jetzt fragst du dich vielleicht, warum ich das hier teile?
Nun, vieles ist im Leben bei weitem nicht selbstverständlich. Es war wie ein zweiter Geburtstag, wo ich ohne künstlichen Ausgang den OP-Saal verlassen habe. Wohl gemerkt nicht selbst, sondern per Bett und Träger.
Es war eine Person, ein guter Kontakt, der mir den Besten der besten Ärzte organisierte, und damals lernte ich eines: Entweder du hast ein bisschen mehr Geld auf deinem Bankkonto oder gute Kontakte in Österreich, um dir den Arzt quasi aussuchen zu können. Bei mir war es der Kontakt, der mir Dr. Stift im AKH organisierte...
Nun, ich habe zwar kaum mehr Dickdarm, aber auch ohne lässt es sich ganz gut leben. Ich bin so dankbar, dass ich das überstanden habe, und hey, wer weiß, ob ich mit künstlichem Ausgang hier am Rondell noch sitzen würde, um diese Zeilen zu schreiben. Um bei Kaffee, herrlicher Aussicht und einem Traumtag am 20. Mai 2026 hier in Wien.
Ganz ehrlich, ich will kein Mitleid oder damit irgendwie angeben, aber mir wurde das heute dank eines Videotitels auf YouTube bewusst und es ist tatsächlich so: Vor genau 15 Jahren wurde mein kaputter Dickdarm quasi komplett entfernt.
Ich hatte jahrelang mit Bauchweh und Schüben zu kämpfen. Es war der Morbus Crohn, der meinen Lebensalltag erschwerte. Es war der Anfang von einer neuen Reise, eines neuen Lebensabschnitts. Damals war ich der Kleindenker, der lieber weniger riskierte, falls es nicht aufgeht. Heute weiß ich, dass alles im Leben möglich ist, du größer denken und es dir selbst vor allem wert sein darfst.
Es war der Startschuss nebst meiner Selbstständigkeit, wo ich bei LOPOCA 560 Euro online parkte und damit mein Leben komplett verändert habe. Es war der Zeitpunkt, wo ich noch bei meinem Bruder arbeiten durfte und dementsprechend auch den Rückhalt hatte. Es war der Beginn eines neuen Lebens.
Ich bin unendlich dankbar, denn ich genieße jede einzelne schmerzfreie Minute, die ich dank dieser OP bekommen habe. Logisch, also klar, gibt es auch andere Wehwehchen bei gereiften Ü20 – aber who cares.
Das Leben ist lebenswert und macht Spaß.

I thought for a long time about whether I should make this public, and honestly: screw it. The people who know me well know it anyway. Exactly 15 years ago, I was given a new, pain-free life. Exactly 15 years ago, I underwent surgery on my colon following a perforation and woke up without an ostomy bag. Now you might be asking yourself why I'm sharing this here?
Well, many things in life are far from guaranteed. It felt like a second birthday, walking out of the operating room without an ostomy bag. Mind you, not on my own, but by bed and stretcher.
It was one person, a good contact, who organized the best of the best doctors for me, and back then I learned one thing: either you have a bit more money in your bank account or good contacts in Austria to essentially be able to choose your doctor. For me, it was the contact who organized Dr. Stift at the AKH...
Well, I hardly have any colon left, but you can live quite well even without it. I am so grateful that I survived that, and hey, who knows if I would still be sitting here at the "Rondell" with an ostomy bag, writing these lines. With coffee, a wonderful view, and a dream of a day on May 20, 2026, here in Vienna.
Honestly, I don't want any pity or to brag about it, but it dawned on me today thanks to a video title on YouTube, and it really is true. Exactly 15 years ago, my broken colon was practically completely removed.
I had been struggling with stomach pain and flare-ups for years. It was Crohn's disease that made my daily life difficult. It was the beginning of a new journey, a new chapter of life. Back then, I was a small-scale thinker who preferred to risk less in case things didn't work out. Today, I know that everything in life is possible, that you can think bigger and that you should consider yourself worthy of it above all else.
It was the starting signal alongside my self-employment, where I parked 560 euros online at LOPOCA and completely changed my life. It was the time when I was still allowed to work for my brother and thus had the support. It was the beginning of a new life.
I am infinitely grateful because I enjoy every single pain-free minute that I have received thanks to this surgery. Logically, of course, there are other little aches and pains for those of us who have matured past 20 – but who cares.
Life is worth living and it's fun.
